I meant about Dixon still being in SL in a few years....I just conveyed it badly. Dixon is 5'7"...he doesn't even tower over Rob Burrows and he has regularly been a route to points for the opposition outside backs. Nobody doubts his strike rate, which is outstanding.....but the modern RL player either needs more to his game, or a team that can defend for him.
Hard to say about the impact a young Jason Robinson would have on the game of RL today, but I for one believe the game we have now in 2013 is bigger, stronger and faster than it was back on 1999/2000. |

Kieran needs to work on tackling for sure, but he's not alone it that.
The top winger in SL is Charnley, hardly a blockbusting winger, and I would say not as good as Robinson.'"
Charley's good but Ryan Hall is number 1 for mine. He has it all. |

Scrum halves tend to be small and are usually helped by defenders. If you have wingers who are also small you get the defensive problems we have. |

The idea of comparing past with present players is rather silly in that they developed and played under different conditions. If a bull had tits it would be a cow. But it doesn't, and Robinson doesn't play now. You are, to quote Captain Mainwaring, "in the realms of fantasy"
