NEVER SAID it wasn't done before, but to do it so early at our new home bodes well. Keep the positivity going lads.

You what??? Was it done within a week without even having a full squad after a possible administration? #GlassHalfFull

Are you joking? The article says that the players can't get food at Underhill so walk to the local butty shop to get a feed.
The Foundation, may it rest in peace, was the biggest provider of curricular and extra-curricular sports in Richmond, Kingston and north Surrey and second only to the Football League Trust-funded Brentford FC in Hounslow. The schools programme was the biggest outside West Yorkshire, the staff and the programmes won numerous awards and the results of the schools and community club system fed through into the academy which a load of local kids play Super League. Every school in the London Borough of Richmond played Rugby League. They coached RL to about 40k kids a year, ran women & girls programmes, learning difficulties, young offenders, holiday camps and got the first southern winners of a national Rugby League schools competition.
(They also had data on and routes into all these people, passed on to the club who then did absolutely nothing about getting them to games as paying customers as Gus didn't believe in it).
The article you linked to says that some players bought some sandwiches and were asked who they were. How on earth are you comparing the two? What was disbanded in West London will take 5-10 years to rebuild in Barnet. That's a lot of buying sandwiches.

Are YOU joking? Of course they''re not comparable. This is nothing to do with foundation visits or setting up school visits. This is merely talking about the players mingling with the public, not on designated school visits but your average joe on the street who couldn't give a rats about RL. It's all Arsenal,Spurs, Chelsea,Watford,Barnet and QPR around North West London. So to see a set of pro players go for the average butty, is the tiniest of indications that the players are getting out there WHILST the foundation is being set up. Jheeze, we need to think forward, not constantly sniping at every opportunity.

| OK. I thought you were in some way suggesting that we had a new and effective community development programme rather than just talking about player appearances.
I still, however, fail to share your optimism around how players buying a butty in the high street constitutes 'getting out there'. God forbid their wives might start to make their sandwiches. We'd be back to being invisible.

| Lol, hopefully the Foundation will be back up and running before the Wives find out,ha.
But yeh, I see what you mean. It is an emotive subject, especially when redundancies are made, and I have no right in trying to understand that, as I can't even imagine the pain. It's examples like that which do make me question the administration's budgeting/deals to get people in as we didn't create enough of a buzz before perhaps,
However, with TK on board, hopefully we will get some good advisors on board. The only way is up.

interesting stat about the 40,000 students who were the recipients of rugby league lessons.
I have 2 questions that you or others may know the answer to.
1. Was this during pe lessons or after school?
2. Of those 40,000 did any ever play for the broncos or play in super league?

So you would expect to see a burgeoning junior rugby league scene in SW London ? Do you think this is the case ?

AK has been paid to take us in....the RFL have loaned him a staff member who is currently looking after all things on-line and getting us in the local media, the RFL have also emailed their database on our behalf.
All AK has done is rent us some office space and sell about 200 fans some memberships to his venue.....he is not "on board". His standing up at a forum and telling 50 fans that he's excited and eager is and wind until he starts to spend some time an money on the club....

| Once again, we are all not privvy to that kind of information and don't know if the Stoop had been offered that or increased its rent to us? I think we are forgetting that we were a week from ceasing to exist and yet we still bemoan the Stoop situation

| If we had ceased to exist then it would have been entirely down to the ineptitude of the management. Yet you want to celebrate the fact that a championship level team and setup has emerged from the wreckage. To cap it all the same goons are still running the show.

| Ofcourse it would have been due to ineptitude. But there is no point in dwelling on mistakes and the past. It is about learning and moving productively forward. Constant criticism and whining and moaning will not acheive anything but bring morale down and a negative, posinous atmosphere. We don't need it. We get enough of that from other fans.
It the idea is to get the administration out, then why not do something productive and set up a petition.
If it came down to having a glimmer of a chance with a Championship squad as opposed to zero chance, I will always take the glimmer and support the lads. Any Given Sunday (or Saturday or Thursday and Friday for that matter).
I will celebrate that to the hills. Come On You Broncos!
