16679.jpg Well f**k my hat, I didn't know that!
Come all without, come all within, we're London Broncos not the H********s!:16679.jpg |

| Quote: PC Plum "I thought Stokes referred the game very well. 14/16 penalty count speaks for itself, everyone deserved. My question, when does a team warning stop ? Leigh were given a team warning, soon after they continued their antics and Weston was binned, soon after gave another penalty - to me another sin bin, but no.
Its hard to take we conceded 18 in 6mins, but it was at a point Leigh decided to play rugby league, offloads, etc. Up to that point we had contained them. Plus Fui Fui kick off returns (after each try) were devastating, international class, they got a roll on, and we struggled to get our defensive shape sorted.
If you werent there you cant appreciate the shear guts, determination, and most importantly tactical nouse we displayed, and, despite comments above about no attacking threat, played some attractive rugby league.
You should be very proud of your team.'"
Fair enough, I expected us to get a pasting , seems we were the better side for long periods. That must have been a desperate 6 minutes to watcH! I reckon the players must be kicking themselves at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! That said, if what I read is true Wes would probably miss!

| Pc plum, when you mentioned the team warning, after the sin bin was the next penalty for the same offence. In theory if it was the team were still on a warning. Team warning ends at refs discretion, if a team has been committing same offence several times over say a 10 min period, you would put them on a warning if they then stop committing that offence over a reasonable period of time then in this case I would say probably a 10 min period you would take them off the warning, obviously taking into account what it was for, if it was for persistent offside on the goal line, then if they have not been defending on the goal line time bounding would be daft, you would want to see a good set or two in the same situation to be convinced they were responding

| Sounds very promising. We just need to build on it now.
The league is looking interesting with Batley picking up another excellent win

| Well before the kickoff I would have taken 24-20 loss, considering we also did had Barthau out as well, but 10 mins cost us. The key is now next week. For some reason last season we could not win in Cumbria for our lives. As the two Cumbrian teams seem to be the weakest in the League up to now, we have to win away next week.
Just really hope the team is not down owing to the manner of the defeat. Listening on Radio they did really well, and now have to kick on big style next week, and finally get the Cumbria monkey off our backs. Taking Leigh close will mean nothing if we let Workington beat us

Our second half comeback also coincided with Stokes starting to cane the Broncos, with a big penalty count in Leigh's favour. So suddenly we started to get all the ball, and your guys had to tackle! Also despite the high penalty count against you in the second half, mostly for similar 'technical' offences, there was no team warning. I am at a total loss to explain why we (Leigh) were deemed indisciplined in the first half, when our 'penalties conceded' have been previously low, and then why you were deemed 'indisciplined' in the second half, after appearing almost exemplary in the first half!
My point is that Stokes is wildly inconsistent. Who knows what the result would have been, had he let both teams play? Leigh may have scored more, but so might London. We'll never know unfortunately. Leigh probably didn't deserve to win, on the basis that they were behind until the final ten minutes, but then at Batley, we were never behind until the 79th minute! That's the beauty of RL, and it looks like this season is shaping up to be quite a tight one, in both the Championship and SL. Who knows, one of us may yet be battling with Leeds in the 'Qualifiers'!
Good luck with the rest of your season - well, most of it anyway!!

| Team warning will only be for persistently committing the same offence. Eg persistent offside, if you put a team on a warning then they get penalised for laying on you should not sin bin

Yes, mid second half, just before Leighs revival. Defo foot again.

cartoons/WB24.gif Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.:cartoons/WB24.gif |

I think I'd agree that might have taken the result beforehand. However as you say it is how we now respond. And having shown what we can do and how we can compete, we need to move away from gallant losers.

No defo a recurrence of his foot injury. Original indications out for 6 weeks, back in 2 weeks, too early. We coped the previous two weeks without him.
