It depends what spin you put on it.

| You should be able to wear whatever RL jersey you want wherever in the gorund you want and not be subject to abuse. There's absolutely no excuse for it whatsoever.

| I was sat a row in front of Lister during the game and have never been so intimidated before at a home game. The vitriol and attitude of the Cas fans stood near us was nothing short of outrageous.
The funny thing was amongst the group of people abusing him was a bloke who had spoken to us in the Webb Ellis before the game on perfectly cordial, non-threatening terms. Put him in a stand full of his neanderthal mates and watch the wind change. Farcical.
Due to the nature of London's fanbase we often seen shirts from other clubs worn at the Stoop. There's a bloke who we'll all be familiar with who wears a Dewsbury shirt every week. Is he fair game for abuse too?
It was shameful and unpleasant, I will vouch for Lister when he says he did not say anything to them to encourage such abuse, we were just watching the game. In a sense I am annoyed that the east stand being unallocated allows away fans to stand on the halfway line when that is where home fans are supposed to be able to sit.
It's also worth noting I've experienced trouble with Cas fans before. Stood behind the sticks at Wheldon Road in 2006, one of the locals tried to set fire to a catalan flag being held by some kids. Astonishing.

Try not to open a can of worms.
How come were weren't allocated behind the sticks anyway? That's where I've sat on my previous 4 visits to London.
As for the incident in 2006, not ideal, 7 years ago, not ideal.

The club trying to keep the stewarding costs as cheap as possible one suspects.

Maybe next year we can all mingle in 1 stand then like at Hunslet?

| Remember in the late 90's being confined to the changing rooms at Cas by the cops because the Cas fans were trying to lynch the ref. Both funny and scary at the same time. Had to laugh as the cops had got the ref out and away 30 mins before they realised, then everyone settled down and went for a pint.

| The club tried opening only one stand and lost a lot of fans because of it. Most were fed up of being verbally abused by away fans in their own ground.

I'm not saying it's alright, it's just par for the course. I didn't abuse him, I just ignored him. he probably got abused by half a dozen people, sticks and stones.'"
youre way off bringing us into it, hull and rovers fans hate each other sure enough but we also live with each other, I've sat at a hull game in my rovers shirt in the past and I've seen the odd hull shirt in the middle of the rovers fans at a number of games, usually all it brings is a sharp intake of breath at first, maybe some good natured booing and a bit of banter, I've even stood at wheldon road before next to the odd fc fan at a cas v rovers game with no hint of bother.
I've been to london every time we've played down there and seen shirts from all over the game supporting the home side (always like seeing the fella in the dewsbury shirt good on you!), and think you'd have to be pretty thick not to realise these are "ex pats" living in the capital, anyone minding their own business watching the game has the right to wear whatever they want without becoming a target for idiots.

| I was nearby and the fact is that the Cas fans did themselves, their club and the sport no favours by acting like the worst type of association football supporters. It was behaviour of the type more associated with the bad days of soccer tribalism.
As for the comparison with Hull and HKR fans, this year I've seen HKR fans in the East Stand rib fans wearing FC shirts as they walked past, and vice versa when Hull were here - no vitriolic invective involved, as launched by the Cas fans at Listy. Banter, with a hint of comedy is one thing, but what was involved on Saturday was indefensible except by the most rose tinted spectacled of apologists. It was, simply, way out of order. As my Chelsea supporting girlfriend remarked, every other time she's been to watch Broncos the crowd has mixed and enjoyed the game in good spirit together, this time it was worse than being at a soccer match - she'd always seen rugby supporters as a cut above soccer ones, now she realises some RL supporters are as bad as the worst soccer ones. It's no compliment.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

| I have to say there has been a few incidences involving Cas fans over the years (including fighting amongst themselves).
I know a couple of the stewards and they say the two clubs fans they have trouble with are Cas and Hull.

That's a real shame as I've met some really great FC and Cas fans at Broncos games over the years, always a few numpties at every club who spoil it I suppose
