Just out of bed actually, but it's nice that you care.
Fantastic result for the side....and speaking of Monkeys, did norvurn monkey get his wish?......did Wigan bring Loads down? I suspect the record gate for the stadium would have been beaten yesterday

| According to BBC Radio London the crowd was 2500, the new stand was pretty much full, despite the roof rattling in the wind.

| Well done and congratulations on a great win. I'm sure Wardy must be taking lessons from Powell.

2,500? How very continental in the month you leave the Continent
Have to say that's poor for the visit of the pies. 2,013 was the gate at the Hive in 2014......I really thought 3k would have been hit as it would be their first visit to another new ground.....and given they and Saints are the biggest drawcards, it points to us having to work really hard to get locals in and not rely on friggin' visiting sides.
Still...FANTASTIC result

| Wigan looked pretty pedestrian today, thought they were better in defence than in attack. Think the boys been working on tackle technique and winning the ruck which frustrated the pies though! Good to see as we couldn’t handle the pace the week before.
Everyone on here seems to dislike him, but particularly watched Lovell today! He might not break tackles but think he did what’s asked off him, he is used as dummy runner a fair bit, so his off the ball work is as important as with ball in hand. Tbh I think his run before the second try is what set us up for that try. In defence though he shut down the current headline boy at wigan every time he came down his wing. Williams couldn’t get past him.
The really good thing with the Dixon try was Cunningham providing the block for the chasing wigan player.
Overall an excellent display, still a few too many dropped balls, and a few too many unforced penalties.

We're not all Southern Softies: |
|
| Just got back home from the match & what a game it was. From 1 through to 17 the team played so well.
Once we learnt to just play our set of six out instead of attempting the "Miracle Offload" on the first tackle, we looked pretty much in control. This was despite the best efforts of the Officials to give the game to Wigan. I can thankfully say this without it sounding like "Sour Grapes" as we won the match.
Sorry Micky B but for the last 2 games the officials have been very poor.
Talking to the players after the game, they seem so tight & full of belief for the rest of the season.

| I ask the same question, what about the penalties we got? Were they all justified?

Whilst I thought the team all played well, as a team, I agree about Lovell, he may not make the yards he should but he did put in a shift in the pack and in the centre and talked exceptionally well. Abdul controlled the game really well in the second half, Dixon is transformed under the high ball and his speed is such an asset, - he did everything right. Walker, I suspect we will lose him at the end of the season, he is so good - brilliant under the high ball, brave, tackles and has pace - the big boys will be queuing up to get his signature.
One of the best days of rugby I have had for years! Well done to the coaches and the players made me a very happy bunny.
Wigan were disappointing though? One paced, no variety? Jarrod was poor, but the just played one man rugby!

| Well done London, any team which beats Wigan will have had to earn it.

| It’s nice to see Dixon confident under the high ball. Walker agree was very good. Abdul’s kicking today much much better than last week.
Wigan off colour? Or shut down andnot allowed to play? Bit of both, I think they came down expecting a walk in the park.

| Well that was unexpected!
Outside of the first 20 minutes, where we looked overawed, I thought we played really well - tackled well, ran hard, kicked intelligently, got some momentum behind us and played on the front foot. Agree with the earlier comments re Dixon, Abdull, Cunningham, and Lovell's tackling. And, of course, Walker's fantastic display at the back.
Shout outs to Battye for his hard work (uninterrupted opening 40!), Yates for his defensive work (2 fantastic consecutive tackles on our own line late in the first half), and young Butler coming off the bench and really getting stuck in. It's not often you see someone making his SL debut who so gleefully and successfully gets into Sean O'Loughlin's face. Loved it!
