| Quote: Under the sticks "The last time we had the issue regarding staying at the Stoop they dragged it out to the last game of the season and neglected to even make a formal announcement.......it was only when the crowd started to shout the question (after the players leaving announcement) that they made a sort of `er, oh yes....we are staying at the Stoop` statement. I don`t see it being any different this time around; if we are to survive another season they will not be trying to `sell` the move to the remaining fans, it will just be a case of moving on and hope that someone turns up.
I for one will be quiet happy if the curtain finally comes down on this whole sorry mess of a club, as I find the on-going failures on the pitch, compounded by the lack of decent management, the will we/won`t we survive question etc quiet draining. The biggest loss will be the friends made over the years and good social times.......if it were all about the rugby I would have given up years ago.'"
That's very sad but it probably sums up how a good number of us are feeling. Was saying to Mrs from Erith on the way home from Saturday's debacle how I might pass on the season ticket next year unless there are major changes at the club and put the money instead towards a trip to Perpignan or tickets for international matches. Its getting to be a bit too painful watching the Broncos these days, I doubt I'd be that motivated to go if it meant phoning up / booking tickets online after the last 2 (non) performances I've witnessed!

| 2 Home games left at the stoop and still no word as to where the club will be plying their trade next season
August 20th last year (IIRC) was the first time Gus mumbled something about moving away from the stoop. Since then we apparently nearly moved to Gillingham and have had discussions with anyone and everyone, but we are still none the wiser as to where the team will run out next year for their home games, let alone what division it will be in!
This lack of any tangible comments from the club is indicative of the shabby way in which the business is being run. I can think of no other business that when the client base is shrinking, the business does nothing to engage their clients to stop the rot.
The sheer arrogance shown by the CEO in matters regarding the future of the club and his idiotic comments on the restructure of SL show a total and utter lack of understanding of the game, or in business terms, the product and how to promote it.
7 months until the start of the 2014 season. Other clubs are announcing signings and will be already working on ST sales plans, new shirt designs and sponsorship opportunities.......is it really too much to expect London Rugby Limited to get their ing act together?

| I heard yesterday that there are investors sniffing around.
I also heard the club is at a crossroads.
A little contradictory I accept.

| Talking Crossroads, we have signed Sandy Richardson from Crossroads, he could use the wheelchair to plug the massive gaps in our centres

| Would you invest in this club? You would get more return at the Skolars. You would have to do a Koukash and start from scratch

Our defence has been every bit as sturdy as a Crossroads' set this year.

Yes various rumours, would love to know what Useless Nige is up to at The RFL in all this, he was quick to help with the Bulls and buying Odsal. The same with the Dr and purchasing of Salford, all we seem to get is lip service and promises.
Investment wise if we move to The Hive the rumour is that Anthony Kleanthous (Barnet Chairman & Owner) may be keen to invest.
We just need to end this uncertainty of course we all understand how negotiations can be intense and as other say more than a lot of club we our owner and management play their cards very close to the chest, but as the team seems to be falling apart on the pitch and Rea does not seem to be able to do anything it is time to say something at least!

| Taken from Wikipedia.
Future
Barnet have been seeking to increase the capacity of their home stadium to accommodate more fans and generate more revenue along with the increase revenue from hospitality and other areas associated with the upgrading of sports facilities. The long standing feud with the local council[6] led to the preferred Barnet Copthall site being given away to Saracens F.C., and effectively ending Barnet F.C.'s hopes of ever moving to the site.[7] The club still wants to play within its traditional Barnet and the new facility is largely a temporary facility which can be scaled down when the club moves to its preferred home in the London Borough of Barnet.
It remains to be seen whether the London Broncos will become an anchor tenant on the site as former Charlton Athletic director David Hughes was seen at the Hive meeting with Anthony Kleanthous with the possibility of the London club taking over the site within a decade being one topic thought to have been discussed.
Maybe the fans will have to start raising funds to take over in 10 years

| Andrew Kleanthous, isnt he the bloke who was planning to take over Wasps?
Think he's got a fair bit of dosh. I would a good investment from him, however, my reservation is playing second fiddle to the footie team.
Historically we've seen in these type of partnerships, when the footie team goes through a bad patch the league team ends up being sacrificed. So im a bit sceptical about that, lets see.....

| It's been a while so hello once more.
I attended Saturday's game after coaching the Skolars minis in the morning, and the one thing that struck me was the sense that the Stoop and its staff do not want RL there anymore. A couple of years ago it was a fantastic day out, great turnout by the Quins RL fans, the staff were happy in their jobs, and the players gave 100%. Now, none of it happens, the players are way out of their league with a couple of exceptions, and believe they have made it. Sorry lads, you need to put in a lot more work to make in Superleague. Don't forget this was only Salford, the battle of the wooden spoon. Very poor crowd indeed, could only have been 500-1000.
As, I think its Gutterfax, has always pointed out, lost opportunities I would call Saturday, they should have had 400 children and parents in the ground but we all shuffled off because of the organisation of the morning and the fact that all the parents had to pay to watch their child play on the main pitch!!Diabolical!!
I love it in Twickers, with Richmond down the road, pure fantasy. I travel over from NE London and my cousin from Hemel Hempstead and we used to have season tix. If this move to Barnet and the smaller stadium comes off I think a 5k all seater would be perfect as it would mean a full house for the Wigan/Saints/Warrington/Leeds games and nearly full for the rest and generate some sort of atmosphere. For on Saturday at 3pm, there was no atmosphere with the exception of the Salford crew who were even supporting London after the first three scores to get something going on the terraces!!
Moan over, hopefully we will secure the move all are talking about and it will set up a great future for the club. Superleague needs London, there are more children playing this great game in and around London now than in the heartlands. I give between 5 & 10 years the league will be awash with London lads plying their trade.
Message to the RFL, give the Broncos and my beloved Skolars a minimum 25 years and we will see a great product, after all our friends from the North have had over 100 years to get something going!!
Thank you for your time, and now onto Emmerdale, Corrie, and Monday night rugga with a side order of chicken wings!!

Is that such a surprise since we have told them we are off at the end of the season.
