lets give the guy a chance. Thankless task but I for one hope signs of improvement are there quickly and built on.

I doubt at The Stoop we will ever go much higher than 5,000, if we are really successful on the pitch then 6,000 is achievable over the three year licence period

There are problems with the forum that are throwing posts 1 hour forwards in time. They are being looked into at the moment.

Gutterfax's plan of a 10% year on year increase was far more realistic, and even that was questioned by 1 poster as not being attainable. there is absolutely no point in setting targets that cannot be met in any business. Our resources should be carefully used in order to meet targets, and if they aren't met, then we should be able to work out why, and make changes to ensure next time the target is met. It isn't particularly complicated stuff.

Your best advert as a tool to sell season tickets is incumbent season ticket holders. The club have touched on it this year with the incentive of new shirt if you introduce a new season ticket holder. I would hope the club could be bolder next year.

10,000 is what they should be aiming for. But long term. Aim high and start getting attendences up, if they keep aiming high then there will be success.

So anything significantly less than 10k in 3 years and GM should be resigning as he and the club will have failed. Why not set a realistic target of 6 or 7k, hopefully celebrate success with that, while at the same time focusing attention on other revenue streams, if the club cannot be sustainable on these crowds?

Can you please expand on these other revenue streams? are we not restricted being a tenant and also that we seem to draw our supporters from a large coverage area? the only one I see is merchandise, but I think that we need to see what it is really going to be like rather than mostly drawings and pro shop illustrations. I do think we now have a brand we can sell and especially in this Olympic year but will we have the right product and be able to target visitors? as well as supporters throughout the rugby world who buy club shirts? I do hope so.

If you cannot sell merchandise this year with London on it ( Olympics, Jubillee) then you probably never will. Pity the club couldn't afford a club shop on Oxford street.

That 3 year time-frame has come from you, not him. We don't know what the 3-year target is.

I think that long-term, beyond 3 years, we should be aiming for 10,000 as I don't see any real point in having a SL club in the capital which appeals to only a small niche spectator base. If we want to be noticed, we have to attract significant attendances.

I am sure GM said at the forum 40% increases year on year were achieveable.
If that was from say 1500 season tickets
year 1 would be 600
year 2 would be 840
year 3 would be 1176

total 2616 plus starting base 1500 gives home season tickets fanbase as 4116. I for one would think that would be good and give further encouragement for the next franchise 3 year period. You could expect very good crowds from certain Northern teams with their excellent followings. Hope Gutterfax is asleep

I was reading between the lines when I stated that I believe 10k, considering it was mentioned alongside licence obligations which will all be 3 year obligations. Even if that isn't the case, which I still believe it is, then why not publicise the short term aims instead? Correctly, the club are aiming for playoffs in each of the next 3 seasons. If he was talking long term than his aim would also rightly be turning the club into title contenders.

I think the point Boyne was trying to make is that the club's inability to sell is probably a bigger factor than our name.

Perhaps so, but a majority did feel the club name did not help and failed!
