| steve at 1st stop coaches might be worth contacting....get a price for a 40 or 75 seater...work out the journey times etc....then get the club to advertise it. At a guess.....30 quid a head for a 75 seater would do it.
Long journey....but made pleasurable with the odd DVD of games gone by...(If a certain person REMEMBERS TO BRING THEM)

| I took a minbus to Wire but not even contemplating this one. Funnily enough the chant before kick off on Sunday was "If your all going to Gateshead clap your hands" which turned round about half way through the second half to "If you're not going ...."

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

You'd have to pay for 2 drivers for that distance due to working hour regulations.

| Do we know what day the game is yet? On Radio London on Wednesday the guy from Gateshead said they were looking for a Saturday evening kick off, which would make a train journey also involve an over night stay. I am considering it though as one of my friends from school lives up there, and I've managed to get him to away matches in the north before, and down to the Stoop at least once a year so with it on his doorstep I'd only have the train as my main concern.

I hope they make their minds up quickly. Newcastle isn't a cheap place to stay on a Saturday night so a Saturday evening would probably rule it out for me, and train fares are already expensive. If the RFL had made the draw immediately after the 3rd Round matches (i.e. two weeks before they got around to doing it) anyone wishing to go by train could probably have got tickets for £20-£30 less a couple of weeks ago. A good job I haven't already spent £80 or so on train tickets to get there for the Sunday afternoon if there's still a chance of it being moved to Saturday. The draw wasn't even mentioned on the official website last time I looked for confirmation of the match day earlier this week.

1230.gif “You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”:1230.gif |
