| A big improvement on the previous two weeks. BJB excellent again. Thought the two halfbacks were good and also liked the effort put in by Bolger. Catalans were bloody terrible it has to be said, I've seen them get thumped by Leeds and the like on more than one occasion and they've never even come close to being that bad. Looked utterly directionless without Bosc.
I'm going to savour this, as we probably won't have too many wins to celebrate this season. Its nice to be off the mark.
I rather missed the Ferriol sending off incident - what happened there?

Couldn't see really. Not too impressed though with him trying to knock over one of the staff on his walk back down touchline.

| Much improved performance in our forward play. Without Bosch Catalans were really rudderless, little inspiration and couldn't kill us with their kicking game.
The French forwards didnt dominate as they usually do and we got some go forward. We used our field position to put good kicks in to Howell/Sharp wing and got the rub of the ball. At least we challenged them with the question!
BJB showed his class Bolger made some good runs, hopefully another lad who will progress. Randall looked off his game IMO. Wilkes put some good work in. Williams and JO'c had a good game. Esders seemed to be working hard. The French made a lot of errors which gave us more posession than we were entitled to but we kept our nerve.

I think it started he was on the ground and got Golden's knees in his back (no reason to think it was deliberate). He then simply had a big swing at Golden (after playing the ball). With his record I'd guess the red card will not be enough. A shame he can't stop himself crossing the line, as I think he is just about the best pantomime villain type player around at the moment - and you fear for the opponent who gets to tackle him first time in a match.

| think it was a bit harsh to say the cats were woefull, i do thin k they were forced in to a few errors, altho shocked to see greenshields dropping a few high balls! Seemed to me that the game was slowed down an awful lot with messing around at the play the ball that was not sorted out and quite a lot of "grapple" tackling from the cats that they were allowed to get away with, but! if the attackers make little attempt to stand up then play the ball will not be penalised
Too many penalties on the last tackle and a really really stupid one where cats took the ball on there own try line then dave Howell came in and tried to roll "pello I think" back in to touch, just dumb rugby
Not the most exciting game, but 2 points!!!!! pretty upset with the attendance but lots goign against us on that!! Valentines day!!! clashing with 6 nations (for those that have split loyalties) and our record and no away fans so hey ho

| A good allround performance. Deserved the win-We went over their try line a number of times without coming away with the points.
We controlled the game from start to finish. Clubby had his best game at centre, Gale went well(he stood out wide and spread it wide which was good and kicked well) Golden worked hard, BJB is so confident at FB.
All in all very pleasing performance
Cats miss Bosc- Mogg is no 6. He doesn't link the forwards with the backs

Gale certainly came off second best prior to that. He's a good player, and fierce, he just likes a fight rather too much. Very softly spoken off the pitch, apparently.

A very encouraging performance, but we do need to cut out those penalties.
IMO Danny Orr was masterful today.

He's not a washing machine!!!
I seem to remember a certain Greg Bird having a big say in the same fixture last year.

Probably not, but the boys would be singing the song in the sheds and that's the important thing.
We won people. FFS. We won. Look at some of the quotes on here, never mind the title of the thread itself!!!
I saw an English comedian on the telly over here the other day who said "we create misery" in England. Even when it's not there. Fück me. How right is he?

| Totally agree Rooster Booster. We won and played quite well and didn't let the Dragons play well (oh dear they were missing Bosch - well we didn't have Dorn, Purdo or Karl T). Encouraged by the yoof - Jamie o'c and Ben Bolger don't look out of place in Super League. Only downside is that Luke Gale may have broken his jaw - certainly doesn't have many teeth left apparently!

Please support Rob Purdham's testimonial season: |

| I also agree with Rooster. It's amazing the amount of negativity that gets posted on here, and equally amazing how many negative posts there are re the Catalans game from people who weren't there!
Of course we have to improve in a number of areas but this was a decent performance, and a good win, against a side with some very good players. We also had some young London lads in Bolger and O'Callaghan who played very well indeed, and promise a great deal for the future.
In addition a look at the profiles of this years Academy squad in the matchday programme should lift the hearts of all Quins fans, as there are some very good lads not far away from the first team.
What is it about the British that we want to see the problems in everything. Of course we need bigger gates, and yes of course we'd like a star signing, but a bit more positivity on here would on occasions go down a treat.
