League express are not the people who are making the decision. Not sure what the big deal is.

So has anyone read League Express & have a view on the respective 500 words. Rather reminds me of the NZ soap 800 Words that the Beeb have been running. I expect there will be some deluded statements in some of them.

Interesting to read all 6 clubs submissions to 'League Express' why they deserve the 12th place in Super League. Our submission looks as if they do have something up their sleeves but didn't want to go public yet?

Would your reading of it jaybs be that whatever is up their sleeve (hand & arm apart) is in the official submission but not in the school essay for LE?

From our owner David Hughes, a private man, and throughout the rest of our club we pride ourselves on being dignified and respectful and as a club we firmly believe we tick the boxes required in the criteria and long before this process had already started work on a number of projects that will see the club meeting the required standard of Super League in every single aspect without making our ambitions public.

These exciting developments have taken months to implement and are still a work in progress but we are hopefully close to fruition and we expect to be able to announce these soon.

Our Academy is regarded as one of the biggest expansion success stories in the British game and for the benefit of the game as a whole for a number of years, producing talent that has gone on to win International Honours, Super League Grand Finals and Challenge Cups.

On the field our staff are of equal high regard with one of the brightest young coaching groups in the game. Danny Ward is a charismatic Head Coach with a thoughtful and modern approach to the game of Rugby League gaining fans around the sport for his approach to Super League in 2019 that saw us miss out on survival on points difference.

A structured plan for both community development and commercial aspects of the club is in place and the response has been fantastic.
Commercially brands are continuing to want to partner with the Broncos, despite the difficult times many are facing, and we have many partnerships ready to reveal for 2021.

We have put forward a strong case for the Broncos to be in SL 2021 and, of course, feel that we are one of the stands out candidates for a place in the sports Premium competition. Every sport has at least one strong London side and this opens doors in the media and commercially that Rugby League especially needs as a National game.

With what has been said by the club/ward, Im guessing it has nothing to do with the playing squad. I am gonna go for......some kind of Investment/help for DH that could possibly involve relocation

I doubt anything to do with playing squad would need to be included in the bid (in terms of, we are signing this player and that)

Wakey are offering a swap deal well that's what I read anyway n the swap player mentioned was Alex Walker....

He said it would be a 'no' if London went up, so make of that what you will.

We are looking to offload Walker, just hasn't worked, so not a total loss for you should Battye join us.

TBF he deserves to play SL regardless of which club it is.

Agree that battye deserves to be playing in SL. I did think Walker was doing ok for you, obviously i was wrong.
Lots of folk on here i suspect would not be happy with walker coming back although he was always pretty good in a broncos shirt

I wouldn't take any of the likely Wakey players, make them stump up hard cash. Get our hands on some of the money they've appropriated from Leigh perhaps.

I’ve no problem with Walker returning, he did well for us in the Championship and certainly didn’t disgrace himself in the one season in SL.
Be a shame to lose Big Eddie though.

No brainer for me. If you are serious about promotion, you dont let your best players go. Battye going would be bad. I like Walker but there is no comparison for me if you are talking about which one I would prefer.

It would be unsettling for the squad if Eddie was forced to stay against his will. However if Wakey want to sign him I would make them pay hard cash. No player swap.
I would think that Alex Walker might be available for free if we waited. Wakey will need to cut their squad.

I suspect like many I would be very sorry to see Eddie go, but realistically holding back if he wants to go would be pointless.

I like Walker but not as a swap. Walker and cash or Walker+ other players(if there is anyone Danny wants). We must not let ourselves get screwed as we have too often in the past.......

No surprise if Ted does leave, he should be playing in SL and, if we're honest, at the age of 29 he doesn't have too many years left at the top level.

Agree with other posters though, we should be looking for cash from Wakefield. Walker is a decent player, particularly strong under the high ball, but continues to be underweight and in our SL season developed a nervousness around decision making with the ball in hand. They'll end up letting him go at some point and if we still want him that would be the time. He's nowhere near a priority for us, we need props, so take the money and go find some.
