Sad news, agree with almost eveyone here, a great player and a good man. And he still can turn it on, he just is sorrounded by dross - poor of the club not to let us know, i might have made the effort to go if i had known!

Mate of mine has a lad in the u19's who says Dorn is an excellent coach, he did a few sessions with the u17s initially and the lads were really impressed by him. Pity we can't keep him on in a coaching role.

A good coach perhaps and also a good player in the past. However he's been poor this season, he's far from the only one but it maybe a good time to wish him a fond farewell.

He looked desperate to end on a high last night, he really put himelf about.

I've always liked Dorn, he's a try scorer, but am not neccesarily surprised he's moving on. He's a charismatic, popular guy, he's not one I would have picked out as an ideal coach but it's great that he has been involved.

I haven't seen him play that well all season, maybe longer. Which begs a few questions. I wouldn't be applauding any of the senior players for any of the dross they've served up for the last year or two. I don't care if they're leaving.

Because new contract details are not yet made public, irrespective of where he's going.

They could however have said that it would be his last game of the season with surgery pending.

Last night epitomised Luke Dorn - great try and sublime 40/20, but too may knocks ons and hospital passes. Luke, good luck to you, maybe coaching is the way forward.

This thread sums up a lot that is wrong with the club. A key players last game and the info leaks out a couple of hours before kick off. Okay you don't want opposition to know but does the club make any announcements during or after the game? Everyone has to quests what is going on.

There is no reason that this info would benefit the opposition at all, he's playing against them that night and it'll be the last game he plays for us. It doesn't help them. And the club should of done a lot better in telling the fans about it. I only found out while at the game with someone showing me his twitter account.

Favourite Dorny moment was when he scored v the cottage burning welsh at their tip...we all started singing "Luke Dorn is a Poacher...he wears a poachers hat...." ..he looks up and smiles at us then does a little dance to the tune.

He was also part of that 2005 team that ripped Wakefield a new one at Griffin Park in the best performance I ever saw from Londons SL team!
