Ladies games are played at Plough Lane as it is. I don’t see it being the end of the world, unless the good people of Merton give up on their long standing Nimbyism or more likely are too distracted by their tussle with the All England Tennis Club.

Ealing with a full time team was always going to be better than Plough Lane and part time. I would have thought using Ealing as our out ground would have been a better option than Ebbsfleet too. I guess it's all about having a super league standard ground, but if you haven't got the team where does it get you? If Skolars ever re- developed New River they could be a serious contender. I read that Haringey offered the site to the RL if they committed to build a 10k capacity stadium about a decade ago. Don't know if that's true or not
