| Like Willow said, decent blow the cobwebs away type session for both teams.
Broncos started Walker, Williams, Stapleton, Naiqama, Macani, Keyes, Barthau, Slyney, Cunningham, Battye, Foster, Harrison, Davis - second half involvement from Margin, Everett, Hellewell, KEAR, Ioane, Thackray, Leatherbarrow.
There but not involved Ackers, Bussey, Offerdahl, Lovegrove (he is back doing contact in February)
Thoughts - the back line has pace to burn, Stapleton in particular, and some of the support play, even at this early stage was first class. Barthau was hugely vocal and lively, replaced by an equally vocal organiser in Leatherbarrow (he lacks pace though). My concern in the halves was Keyes, too much indecision, maybe down to new faces.
Forwards were strong albiet playing Skolars is different to Leigh. Nice to see Slyney out there, Battye looks very good, Thackray like a spring chicken, amazing enthusiasm and energy.
Walker injury concerning and Ioane limped off.
I know the pitch is 3G but it looks superb and plays really well.
Talking to one of the scholarship dads, he travels over from Essex every Wednesday for training and he says its fantastic, Scholarship and Academy training at same time, first team players helping out - the makings of a club.
