Like others I went along to my first Broncos match on the Saturday. I have only fully cottoned on recently how immersive and great RL is, helped in large part due to the world cup. I'm now not content to simply watch the odd game or two on the telly.

I decided recently that I would prioritise the skolars, because they seem more sustainable, and less likely to dissapoint, but have to say really impressed with Saturday. The setup looks good, friendly people and I don't think the team will be the whipping boys I and other had expected. Definitely will return.

I just think RL doesn't get the adulation it deserves and a struggling club in a pretty much foreign environment isn't exactly an easy sell. But that said someone somewhere has to look at kids, families, group bookings etc. building a match day spectacle.

Now there is a brief that would flummox the glitterati of the advertising world

I see RU and RL get positive publicity in the nationAl press today as leading clubs to invite old men to matches to combat loneliness. Who'd have thought it - community initiatives getting positive press!!

actually Deakin(?) there first CEO, who i think was the driving force behind the bulls name, the cheerleaders and razzamattaz based a lot of his thinking on American sport - he was the early driving force behind the bulls success and no-one should forget how successful they were in the early years of super-league 10,000+ crowds. He then went to the dark side Sarries(?) or Wasps(?) and was pretty successful i think?
