Although Rugby League is the fastest growing sport in NZ. some NZ union personatily thinks it could one day take over from union. People thought the warriors success this year wouldn't be as good as it normally would be due to the rugby world cup but the warriors making the NRL grand final pushed the rugby world cup off front and back pages of newspapers and had local pubs switching the station off rugby world cup matches to the NRL finals series.
