| As predicted, Watson's insistence on having far too many forwards is now leading inevitably to some looking elsewhere due to not having enough gametime. Trout was shaping up to be a great player and actually scores a lot of tries near the line. Seb is going great this year, but i would probably have played Trout over him as Seb is overseas and much older.
He wont be the last out of the door as Watsons ridiculously imbalanced recruitment takes its toll. It's never the players you want to go that you lose, always the good ones who aren't getting played enough and are ambitious.

| Did it not occur to you that the reason he has not played in recent weeks is because he has indicated he will be moving on. Before then he was a regular.
I think his head had been turned long before he started getting left out of the squad.

| I'm torn with this one as he's a good player but the likes of Seb, English, Wilson, Hill even Ashworth are in front of him but and it's a big but.....Hill is 35, Seb is 32, they aren't getting any younger.
Not forgetting Greenwood who imo is a top prop so there's no room for him.
He's decided to turn the contra t dow for whatever reason, I wish him all the best in his career moving forward.
If Watson can get in a top winger in his place I'll be happier.

Only heard of Hull and Cas interested hardly clubs that would turn his head. He is looking for regular first team action, something Watson can guarantee none of our forwards due to the huge number of them all vying for the same spots we have what 8 props?! (Hill, Greenwood, Trout, Seb, English, Wilson, Mason, Rushton) none of those are squad academy players pushed into first team, all are expecting regular rugby (with the exception of probably Mason)

| I will be sad to see Owen go too, but as pointed out, it seems an inevitable consequence of carrying such a heavily skewed squad.
Kevin Brown also called this out as a potential problem on Sky, very early on in the season too. However I do hope Owen goes on from strength to strength and gets the England call a regular start could give him.
It's good to see Innes and Sam Hewitt back in the fold. I thought at first this was due to the Luke Gale effect on Wakey's budget, but maybe that's not so and we will see them back in a first team shirt very soon.
Not wanting to tempt fate, but I have a feeling that tonight WILL be the turning point to our season. Maybe we will just roll our sleeves up and take it to the Robins and get on the front foot for the rest of the season!

| Yes indeed, and a far better call from you.
I think my work here is done (I just wish Watson's was too).
Adios amigos.
