I've just had my fingers burned on another thread for saying something positive so I thought I might start my own.

This thread is therefore for positive posts about the Huddersfield Giants only. It may well turn out to be a short one.

Each response should start with the words 'The thing I like about the Giants is.....' I'll start the ball rolling.

The thing I like about the Giants is the way they develop the young players.

Everyone is welcome to post (yes even the Wakefield Trinity posters) so long as the post is positive.

The thing i like about the giants is away games as it s usually just a hundred or so who go and actually get behind the side, everyone sings and cheers and no one whines and moans like they do at home games its no surprise we seem to do better away from home, its just an altogether 100% better match expereince than home games

And I like that even tho we’re struggling we’ve still managed to bring all these young lads who may not be superstars and maybe not have a great performance every week they all seem to 100% effort in which is more than we can say about some of our higher earners

I suggest we just ignore them, starve them of a response and they will soon get bored.

My next comment is directed at all the regular posters on the Huddersfield forum.

Come on you guys you must be able to find at least one thing you like about the Giants. Why not try it. I'll even make it easier for you by widening the options. I know a lot of you have been following the Claret and Gold for many years so why not try a posting which starts 'What I like about Fartown is....'

I'll start off with 'What I like about Fartown is our history and tradition and the role we played in the development of Rugby League (and I don't just mean the George Hotel meeting).

Come on guys and girls swallow your pride and say something positive about our wonderful club, you never know you might enjoy it.

Some very promising young players that hopefully develop and you can keep hold of them. Having a core of home grown players is the way to go.

The thing I like about the giants is I’ve met some of my oldest friends going to rugby- we’ve been to weddings and watched our families grow up.

The thing I like about Fartown are the world class players my father told me about when he used to watch them but I was just too young to remember ie Hunter, Cooper, Devery, etc, etc. What a site it must have been at the old Fartown ground full to the rafters cheering on the Claret and Gold.
