Just want to say a big thank you to everyone on these boards who i have met over the years, some who i've become good friends with, some from opposition clubs too who have always stopped for a chat and a drink etc, unfortunately a lot have been driven away over the years due to the demise of these forums.
I've had some good 'banter' too and some crossed words as well but that's all by the by.

Thanks to those who took part in the prediction league when i ran it too.

I'm leaving these boards now after many years as it has basically become a forum to criticise the club and gang up on folk who don't agree with the norm, there is no rooms for positivity anymore or you get abused by PM etc...i get no enjoyment out of this forum anymore like i used to.

Anyway just wanted to say thanks to all the great people i've come across over the years and still hope to see plenty of folk, old and new at matches.

Like a lot of guys on these boards Daz I have come to regard your posts with a lot of respect you are a great Giants fan and an avid supporter please think again and continue with your excellent news and posts.

Completely understand GD, it's why I rarely post anymore. Always enjoyed your posts whether I've agreed with them or not as you've always sought to make them balanced & this board will be even poorer without your contributions.

The Pennine Rugby league forum was the same a few years back. Too many keyboard warriors on there who constantly berated anything posted on it. Just before it was closed down (because of all the negativity and abusive comments) there were about half a dozen regular posters left very much like this forum. People are unwilling to join in if they think they'll be slagged off for having an opinion and eventually you end up with the half a dozen or so who persist to keep the message board open.

Positivity is the key, yes things could be better and remember it's only 3 short seasons ago that we were top of the pile. Things could turn round as quickly as they fell and hopefully that's this season.

Issue is some people just cannot bare any criticism of the club at all and Daz is one of them people (Fair play to him).

I value and respect your posts Daz fella but you take it way too much to heart when people are negative about the club.

Forms are for criticism and debate as well as positive comments.

Well said Daz, I too don't bother to post on here it just seems to be a Giants bashing board over the last few years, little balance to debates.

Pity you're going as you're one of the few who do have a balanced view IMO.

You're not alone, Daz. My first read of the board in 3 months. Can't remember the last time I posted.

Be a shame if you and the others on here stop posting.

I'm no fan of you lot you know that but I have always liked the way you rally to defend your club when others have a go - like me

It's probably the thing our two clubs most have in common.

I'd hate to see you all skulk off and inhabit one of thos sterile facebook pages or worse create your own forum like Cas and a few others. These things are nothing more than self congratlatory echo chambers where any input from outside is blocked. This leads to dumbed down fans who are unable to take advice or criticism which in the end makes then deluded which is a bad thing.

These forums are flawed and riddled with trolls but they are still the only place where you can find real debate and genuine opinions.

Stick with it and be one of the braveer sets of fans who are still willing to fight it out toe to toe (virtually of course) - weve all been there but you'll get over it.
