| Good signing. Young Hooker - same age as Kruise so could really push each other on. Like what we are doing bringing young English up and coming players that have stood out in the championship to fill our squad up and for depth - really liking how our squad is shaping up now.
We have a very young squad now with I think only 3-4 players over 30.
Majority of the squad 18-19 players are aged 25 or below
People are suggesting we are also in for Ben Kavanagh - don't rate him at all.

...for certain people to tell us he's just another average Championship player and shows the club lack ambition (without actually seeing a game being played yet!)

| Another Bull Championship Player. Three year contract for someone untested in Super League. The stamp of Thewlis and his Agent Pal again. Probably on Peanuts.

| We have allowed "average" SL players to move on. We have replaced them with players from an "average" championship team. Now they could step up, they could thrive, stone might be able to get the best from them-Mellor and o Brien I get- they are young, hungry and could still have some development to do- taking the step up in the competition could really improve them- but kavanagh? Nope.
The thing is we have signed up these players and they won't have cost us much
and the key thing is the RFL have given us dispensation on the cap to sign them- so I suppose we've lost little by taking a punt. If they turn out to be good propsoects then we've got them off our cap (unclear to what degree) for the duration of their contract!
But I'd say kavanagh is a dud

| Of all the players to have left, AOB is the one I'm most gutted about. He's won some games on his own for us over the last 2 seasons. I agree he's fairly untested at the top level but he's got bags of potentially and age is on his side as well. You've got a very good signing in my opinion.

1638.jpg How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

If I were you I'd put this in italics lest someone think you were being serious.

Your right it must be down to thewlis- two young players who could turn out to be New oli roberts' who the RFL have given us dispensation on our cap for a combination of 5 years. if they don't work out we can still sign someone else aswell and we've lost nothing (except Davys money on what will probably be low wages) stupid man should have given them the usual 4-5 year contract

Thewlis and Agent Shuttleworth deal. Good commission, its only Kens Brass which will not last forever.!!!!

| this is a great scoop for us!! some of us have had our eye on him for a while as the man who could solve the hooking problem we have but its not been rectified!
hats off to stone as he has tried to sort out all the problems we as fans could see from the outside, like fitness and areas we need to improve
obrien at hooker may now allow hinchcliffe to play at loose forward!

Not sure it's a complete exemption- the statement says clubs have special "dispensation"
on the cap but it's not been made clear what that means exactly!
