| On the back of yesterday and a further iimproved showing we head to Widnes with a chance to really get back in the top eight finish mix with a win.
Widnes are currently looking vulnerable and the 2pts are there for the taking with a disciplined and committed performance.
It's never easy on their plastic pitch and they bullied and out enthused our youngsters after a tough battle with Wigan the week before early season but we go into this with some confidence and a pack that looked good against Saints.
In light of the several false dawns so far this season I'm hoping to see another committed and dominant performance on Sunday and from where we were would consider 8th and a challenge cup semi or final as the rescuing of our season.
Be interesting to see what Widnes make of Mr Ikahihifo who whilst it's too early to count 'our chickens' looks well 'up' for the challenges of Superleague and a very unwelcome sight for the opposition when he leaves the bench.
80 yards in 12 carries 4 tackle busts, 18 tackles and 5 marker tackles is a very good contribution first game up St George must have some bloody good forwards to not play this fella !!

| Massive game this. With the form of cas and wakey I can't see us being able to catch anyone but widnes in the remaining 8 games before the split.

| looking at the table as it stands its a huge game, win and we really will be breathing down their necks
always good at home on their pitch but in a shocking run of form (we know how it feels)
the giants are a confident bunch at the moment though and we can get the win.
anderson has a few team selection headaches for a change

| Hope you win this if anything to see Widnes slowly fall out of the top 8. Can't stand Betts or their fans.

| Massive game for us. The table is being kept rather tight above us. No one team being dominant for too many games without looking off their best of losing one. Widnes are the ones us hkr and Salford are looking to jump on to take their spot.
Win this and with hkr and Salford still to play! Top 8's may still be in contention!

| Win this, and we will make the 8
Lose it and it'll be down to luck
Every game we have left is winnable on Sunday's form

| I'm confident for this, however, Widnes are due a win and the Giants haven't won a game this season against home advantage.
I'd bring back Johnson for Mason so he can have a rest and leave the rest of the team how it is.
Grix blew off a few cobwebs last week but will still need to build some momentum and get back into the swing of things.
2 points is vital. A strong performance would be a bonus... For now.
Let's hope some other teams can do is a favour too!

And so you should be.
We can't buy a win, and haven't won in the league since we beat Wigan on Sky. Very strange how our style of play has changed and we're struggling to score points, Hanbury is the only real threat we seem to have at the minute.
That said, having Brown & Bridge back makes a big difference, and Kev got tired last week so hopefully more match ready this week. You're right, we're the most likely to drop out of the 8 and you're the most likely to get in it - so big game.

| Rugby League, one week you are up,next week you are down, that is unless you are Leeds Rhinos who are sunk without a trace with no hope of a draw never mind a win.
Has Hetherington still got the energy left to steal Paul Anderson off us.
Then he could walk up to the south stand for the adulation, having forgot all about his Sheffield walk out.
Oh and bye the way looking for big revenge over the Vikings.Looked very impressive at ours this time, deserved winners.

Yes I like Widnes as a club, They have never been a big club but they have certainly had their days in the past. It's good to see them coming back, and playing well in the first half of the season, They deserved their win over us but we are a different team this last month, I expect us to be too good for them at the moment, we must be brimming with confidence.
Grass or artificial pitch I think we can expect to go very well in this.

| Huge game - wish I was going and nearly bought tickets earlier in the week before the missus reminded we were off to London
We definitely have the momentum to win the game that's for sure. Our form and confidence have to be high and hopefully winning in Newcastle gets us more confidence to come out of none-Giants changing rooms and win finally! The challenge will be whether the return of Kev Brown can immediately improve their creativeness and step up their overall performances. He'll be up for it playing against his most recent club as always but I think we're in a much better position to handle him than earlier in the year.
If Broughy can keep up his enthusiasm (he's up for it) then his kicking game is unstoppable (both defensive and attacking) and the rest of the side will take care of itself.
Like everyone before has said - this is the make or break for me in terms of reaching the top 8 as in if we lose I think we're done for. We've also got the Salford tribunal situation which would also snuff our chances I suspect if they get the 6pts back so even winning guarantees us nothing... but lose and we're done.
I'm feeling confident of a win though for once to keep the form going.

Let's hope it's 9 on the trot, no doubt if you win Betts will blame the referee.
