| First of all it was a much needed win and any win against Leeds is a pleasureable one. Well done and let's do it again next week.
However like the previous week we should have been out of sight by the half hour never mind half time our execution on attack at times leaves a lot to be desired.
When oh when are we going to improve our ruck area game, we made Rob Burrow look a world beating hooker last night and I would like to bet half of Leeds total metres came from there or within one pass of the ruck.
I get fed up of seeing the opposition hooker running 10/15 metres when our tacklers are still laid on the floor.
Last night with some good defence we managed to win and score some good tries late on.
Fix those two areas and we would win far more than we lose.
27 ball carries between Mason, Johnson, Wardle and Roberts is a worrying factor against 56 by McGillivary, Cudjoe, Ormsby and Murphy.
Eorl made 23 on his own and I think last night answered some of the recent critique against him.
This not a whinge but an honest observation on three areas we could improve on dramatically.
Be nice to see the ruck area and finish improve for next Friday as I think it will be a stronger Leeds team and we cannot afford to let them off the hook and gift so many easy metres.
To win the CC you have to be left in it and we have run the top teams very close recently
and are due a couple of kind draws.
I have my ticket for next Friday and £15 is not a bad price for what should be a great cup tie but be interesting to see how far short of last nights 7,500 it falls my guess is 5,500 !!

| I thought we again looked quite pedestrian at times. I think the team play in such a way as to conserve energy in defence, they never move up in the tackle quickly into the faces of the opposition and don't seem concerned when the opposition makes more metres down the middle than we do. It's frustrating- especially as we've been losing but it's how they seem to play and have played that way a while under Anderson. It's rare for us to make more metres than the opposition, whether winning or losing. I'm not too concerned about the ball carrying stats as, OK the backs take the ball in first carry but it also means that the ball was getting out to the edges!!!

| Enjoyed watching you lot last night proves its still in there, I still think you could do with an out and out hooker and let Hinchcliffe play at 13 where he can float around. But as Brearley will love to hear me say very impressed with Cudjoe everytime ive seen him this year after being one of his biggest critics, also Michael Lawrence is a machine fantastic to see him now making line breaks now hes filled out more to play back row and his defensive work is second to none well done

It was his last game last night- he was only with us a month. He can't play Friday anyway as its a cup game and wire won't want him cup tied - but if it's mutually agreeable I can see us extending the loan a bit! Hopefully.....
With Ellis hopefully back in three weeks it may not happen though as I expect Connor will then go back to centre.

| I thought we looked better around the ruck offensively with wood at hooker, he's kind of just there when he plays scrum half he doesn't seem to offer much. Defensively I agree with fartown, around the ruck we are so sloppy, allowing Leeds to get straight back up and then burrow was off again! Offensively we do alright, but we are missing Ellis without a doubt

| Lots of good performances.
Thought Eorl look good again last night live, and even better when I rewatched on sky and saw his workload.
