i have been to catalans once before and fancy going again this year

last time i flew to girona but they dont seem to do flights to there anymore???

i want to fly friday then return sunday

what would be the best route? airport.. do they still do flights to girona to stay in lloret de mar

or do others fly to south of france and stay there?

or most stay in barcelona then get a bus up to the game?

Luton to Girona is about £123 Friday to Sunday.

We're going Luton to Beziers Friday to Monday, there's also Manchester to Carcassone Friday to Monday.
Ryanair fly direct to Perpignan from Stansted but i think it's Thursday to Sunday.

A lot do stay in Lloret/Callela etc and get bussed up to the game and then back down but there's also a few of us who are regulars in Perpignan.

Try looking for flights to Montpellier, Carcassonne, Beziers as they are about 2-2.5 hours train journey from Perpignan.
Bear in mind though that the same weekend we are down there it is the Barcelona Grand Prix so if you're planning on stopping there you maybe pushing it for a decent prices hotel.

And we are going Stanstead to Perps Thursday to Sunday staying in Hotel de France - can almost smell the steaks in Eric's......!!

you all get the train down or just drive down and leave car at the airport car park

Stansted to Perpignan would be the best bet really but we like our sundays relaxing by the beach at canet so coming back sunday isn't an option for us

If you've never been over there everyone will tell you it's worth doing even if just the once - it's a cracking weekend in Perpignan !!

Lloret is good in the fact that the beer is half the price and the Fenals is a decent hotel but i think perpignan is good for soaking up the atmosphere

Plus if anyone wants a lift down to Stansted and back give us a pm ,got room for 3 more

these flights have gone to over £1k now
