| A group of us were thinking of doing part of the west Pennine real ale trail on the same afternoon as the last test between England and the Kiwis on Saturday, 14 February.
Could anyone recommend any real ale pubs in your town centre where the game would be on t.v.
Thanks in advance.

| 14th November???
I'm sure that they're all on BBC.
Does the Sportsman have a TV? Slubbers is a bit of a walk if you're on the Ale Trail. Herbert's on Cross Church Street has a TV. The Head Of Steam [at the station] has a TV but also can have crap beer. Vulcan down St Peter's Street shows a lot of sport - but there';; be no chance if Town are at home.
Most pubs in town do have real ale, it's a case of finding one with a telly.

| Slubbers I'd be amazed if they had a tv
Sportsmans doesn't
Grove doesn't
Rat & Ratchet doesn't
Try the head of steam or kings head from the station
Failing that try the Parish, they have real ale & tv + they do some of the best fodder in town

| King's Head doesn't.
You serious about the Parish? Not been in for many, many years. I always thought it has a dire reputation!
