| as much as i like ferres and robbo, i felt yesterday PA got it wrong, we have been playing well with wardle/connor/murphy as the left side, but yet he changed it to accommodate ferres who i actually thought played quite well, but i didn't see any reason to drop connor and move wardle back to centre just so ferres could play.
same with robbo, leeming has done just fine in his last few games and worked well with ellis/wood sharing the hooking duties, but yet again he makes changes to fit robbo in.
we've had the debate before about giving young lads the chance but it's so frustating when senior players walk straight back into the team at the expense of these lads who have done nothing wrong.
i'm not saying the outcome would have been different but if it's not broken why fix it? i thought it was a poor call from anderson.

| I was surprised he changed the left side as much. Thought putting ferres in the 19 man squad was just going to be a ploy to put question mark over the left side and who will be there and whatvleeds would have to defend against.
Big game for ferres to come back but he did well, saw that one arm off load get used a bit more!
Think ferres is a better 2nd rower than wardle and wardle a better than Connor although there combo had been working well

| To be fair though ferres didn't anything wrong to not be playing either! two sides to it, in a big game such as this I think most would back their trusted senior players and ask them to come up with goods.

| i just didnt think he needed to change things as wardle/connor/murphy had been doing a good job, although yes, ferres played well, it looked to have unsettled that left side, and also with robbo we didn't get going at dummy half at all.

| Wouldnt have made any difference to the result whatever team we put out..they ran harder and had more intent,we were beaten after 8mins. same thing happened in the previous two meetings so why didnt we see it coming ?!
could tell cudjoe was missing down the right hand side in the second half

To be honest I didn't think he was much of a presence in the first. 2/3 years ago he was running rings round Moon It's the other way round now.

Black Backgrounds/Statler.gif Run leroy , run !.... And he did - twice - and we partied hard...:Black Backgrounds/Statler.gif |

| Hindsight is great - but like others I was surprised he changed it. Guess he thought experience rather than in form youth.
Interesting to see Thursday's selection.
The other bit of hindsight, is I thought brough would have kicked for 2 when we got the early penalty at 0-0. In cup football an early lead would have been good - wind was against him though.
Anyway 5 tackles later and grixs off load to the invisible Man and we are 6-0 down , not 2-0 up.

| Didn't think Ferres coming back affected too much but i thought Leeming would have kept his place due to the fact we look quikcer round the ruck with him in the side...Robbo is a soldier but IMO Kruise is quicker and possibly more dangerous.
Like has been said though it wouldn't have mattered who we played due to the fact Leeds were miles better than us all over.

| I agree. Why change a winning team to bring in two players who aren't match fit.
Ferres was very good. Actually played better than he had before he got injured but the point stands that people who shouldn't of been dropped got dropped.
I honestly think Wardle is a better second row than centre and was too quite in attack.
I don't think any of these changes led to our cup exit. Bet it's shattered our confidence though... We looked very lost.
