| So, after another impressive display form the lad - as he had a bad game in the 1st team yet ?, is it time to consider him a permanent fixture in the team to help his progress rather than a bit part here and there as he has been upto now ? personally i think he should, we looked lots better with him at full back and smurph on the wing against Wigan and he's almost like having an extra half-back for us in attack.
He's 20 now i think and surely with the talent he's already shown he should be getting regular game time, especially as he's shown in the dozen or so games he has played that he's not afraid to take on the big boys and looks quite comfortable playing in Super League.
What's your thought on him?

| as i said last night daz, he should be a regular in the 17 if not starting, at most clubs he would be a regular by now, but yet he's still a fringe player with us.
also as we said, because he can play various positions he is used as a utility player, for me though he should have the full back spot to lose now.

| As you said, never had a bad game. However he hasn't had more than 2 consecutive games in one position. He seems to get MOM then get dropped.
Anderson always seems to be looking for a way to play Broughton. Why? Is he on decent money, that needs justifying?
For me Connor should be 1st choice FB and Murph 1st choice winger.
Broughton has been given plenty of opportunities and not taken them I'm afraid.

| to be fair to broughton, i don't think he's done much wrong, could maybe tighten up his defence, but we just haven't used him correctly IMO, give him the ball with space in front of him or a kick to chase down and he'll usually produce, he's not a battering ram like Jerry is so we need to use his assets better.

| So he's good in open space???
So was dwayne chambers!
Gone are the days when all you need is speed to be a winger.
He's poor under the high ball and doesn't run it back with any conviction.

| Connor needs to be in every week. He's shown he's got what it takes, we look a better side with him at FB and despite bullies like mcillorum trying to rattle him in games he's shown that he can stand up to them.
He still makes the odd error- but even old head hodgson and Mr claret and gold Reilly made mistakes!
He can't do any more to earn his place IMO- but we do have to be careful not to do a lomax on him. He's young and needs to be looked after.

Warde had a good opportunity to put Broughton in the clear V Hull but decided to go it himself. The way he hits the ball and defends is more like a 2nd rower. If he adds the art of quick hands getting the ball to his winger he'll be a very good centre.

yes he does play like a 2nd rower, runs hard... lost the ball v wigan on first tackle which led to a try after we had soaked up pressure on our line

well it was only one game into the season!
he was behind murphy on the wing many times last season too so i dont think anderson seems to be always looking to play him.

| At full back Connor has the most potential out of him, grix and murphy!
Connor is making the odd mistake but these will only be ironed out by playing the game at the top level, he is a running full back who chimes into the line well.
Murphy has to be in the starting line up, he showed his quality against wigan, quality under the high ball, just reads the game so well and can cover 1 to 5 far too good to leave out.
So sorry grix and broughton but Connor and murphy offer to much to be replaced

| He also got picked ahead of Murphy a fair few times when Murphy didn't put a foot wrong and was possibly our best player.
