i know this won't go down too well with most fartowners but despite the barracking and booing i thought he had a good game today, got most decisions spot on, although again both teams were guilty of exploiting the touch judges unwillingness to spot offsides.
we slag ref's off enough and bentham has certainly irritated us in the past but i feel it's only right to flip the coin when they have good games, some will probably disagree but me and daz both said during the game that he has got every decision correct,he had a word when players were stepping out of the line, consulted with his team when he wasn't sure about a decision, to be fair there wasn't much of the nasty stuff going on but i thought he was good today.
so well done mr bentham.

Agree, thought he was excellent today, no major errors, hardly featured and let the game flow, thought the booing of everything he gave was a bit embarrassing at times and proved that a lot of our fans certainly dont understand the game and why decisions are or aren't given.

I also thought he had a decent game, always consulted with his team like mentioned above. still hard to forget the saints game though

Still rubbish. I know both sides creep up at the 10 metres at the PTB, but Catalan took the urine at times and Catalan players were in front of him and he didn`t do owt.
Also picked us up for 2 forward passes, I have no problem with that as they were, but there were a few by Catalan ignored completely.

Hmmm, I thought he was poor to be honest, he doesn't help himself, pulling out two of our players for lectures (which may very well have been justified) but not doing the same when Catalans hands were thrown in the air, as they were frequently all afternoon.

he got a few things wrong and his demeanor suggested to me that yesterday's game was a chore for him. Perhaps that is a harsh judgement, but I simply do not trust him as a ref, I would rather have anyone else as our ref to be honest. Petty as it may be I am not yet prepared to forgive and forget.

Thought he did ok other than ignoring offsides. Surprised when we had two players lectured that Catalans didn't as Henderson is horrible player. He conmplains to the ref constantly yet is always the one who leaves his hand in the ruck or looking for a cheap shot.

alot of people havent forgot the challenge cup game that was the main reason for the booing

seems to take an age to give a try too, would have been there till midnight if video ref was on

I agree Daz I thought Bentham let the game flow and it made for a better game of RL.It's about time we forgot about his performance in the cup match.

I forgot about it the day after. Thought he had a decent game yesterday. Booing anybody (ref, players, coaches etc) is an absolute utter waste of space. I've never seen it achieve anything - positive or otherwise.

Though the Giants are the second most penalised team after the Dragons

Thought it was a very easy game to ref, Giants always in control, Dragons for the most part looked very lathargic, l expected much more from them. Bentham let things go, and the game benefited for it, fairly average game really.
Plus point for me was the defensive patterns much much better.
