| If the baby that's Wayne Rooney 'don't want to play on the left cos I might have to run back and do some defending/tackling is worth £360,000 a week what would be the value of the better RL players in a fair market ???
The hits they take the work ethics at International and Origin level without complaint make 'our Wayne' look the pampered under performer at the top level he is !!! Mmmm bet I'm banned from Manchester now lol..... !!!

| Absolutely agree, looking at some of the papers I thought I was the only one who thought he was garbage, lazy and overpaid. I wouldn't have him anywhere near an England team and wouldn't pay him £360 a week. I don't really watch Football and certainly not Man United but I gather he plays well for them. He sounds a bit like Kevin Sinfield, performs well for his Club but not for his Country.

| Makes you appreciate rugby league doesn't it.
He's well overpaid (as are most football players) and it came across he wasn't happy with the work load given which is unprofessional. However...
He's in the England team for the same reason Sinfeild is for England in RL.
Though his fitness may not be the same as it was in the past and his reactions may have slightly dropped.. His experience in the England camp is invaluable. The younger and less experienced squad members will learn a lot from him.

| For that amount of cash he should be able to play on the wing without throwing his toys out.
Would our top players even get that a year?
I think Moz said it best in his book "footballers spend half the game pretending to be injured while Rugby League players spend the match pretending they aren't. "
