| So next up Wigan
hoping to see a big response from the Giants, will we normally do and never afraid of anyone at home.
would expect to see mcgillvary, lawrence and bailey back will tighten up the middle.
maybe it should be mcgillvary and blackmore on the wings this week.
wigan have been doing very well of late, should be a good game.
dont think the crowd will be too good though!

| you would drop murphy? on what grounds? that blackmore went well as back up?
if jerry is fit enough then he would replace blackmore for me
who would bailey and lawrence replace? won't be Eorl or koppy and ta'ai,patrick, fooey and mullally have done enough to keep their spots, that leaves chan and ferres but why would we replace them?
only thing i could think is if either robbo or wood were left out so bailey can play in the halves.

would be happy with any of murphy, blackmore, mcgillvary , broughton to get the wing spots.
lawrence has to come back, id put him in for patrick/chan or taai aslong as he is in. Patrick is not great in defence but good in attack. Bailey off the bench, all depends on the way anderson wants to play against wigan..will he get it right? got it wrong v saints.
or maybe we should just pick the same 17 that played the first game of the season, probably our best performance!

| Wigan could be getting upto 4 senior players back for this one.
could be a nice price with the bookies for a Giants win

| It's going to be tough! I'm hoping to see a Giant backlash. We was shown up abit on sky against Saints and looked like we had no pride. There's no better game to regain our pride than against the champions. I hope we show some hunger, toughness & determination.
I'd like to see something like this.
1. Grix
2. Jerry
3. Murphy
4. Wardle
5. Broughton/ Blackmore
6. Brough
7. Robbo
8. Crabtree
9. Lunt
10 Mullally
11. Ferres
12. Patrick
13. Lawrence.
Subs.
Faiumu, Koppy, Ta'ai, Bailey.
Think Leroy needs a big rest..
Watching from the sidelines in a big league game might do him some good also.
I'm positive for this game!

| Why would you drop Blackmore? best Giants player by a country mile against Saints, should be looking to drop some of the under performers. No-one should be guaranteed a shirt it should be earned and Blackmore has earned his for this week IMO.

| Be interesting to see our squad named later, as it is expected that Lockers, Farrell, Flower, Bowen and Pettybourne should return, McIlorum likely to be out though. Expecting a decent game, you won't be as bad as you were against Saints!

| Won't be as bad as.....how many times have we heard that this season? We sound like koukash!
Last year when we were beaten we stepped up the next week, only lost two on the trot once- this year has been a very different story. Although we have won a few we've never looked good since the Wigan game. Even against Cas we were hit and miss. Leeds were there for the taking and we failed to finish them off.
Wigan seem to always do well at our spot and us at theirs. I'm expecting a loss this week as we have zero form.
Just hope we show some effort.

] [sizeOh yes we will,[/size apart from a couple of games this season our pack has been well and truly beaten up and battered by so called "inferior" packs to ours, our defense has been woefull and we've leaked points for fun, don't know whats gone wrong but I'm surprised Anderson hasn't sorted out our forwards by now.
Big Eorl and Koppy on the whole have been very poor and to be honest a few weeks rest might do them both the world of good, they're getting a place in the team on reputation and not on perfomances, same with Leroy, he looks tired, jaded and not half the player he was last season, give him a rest (kick up the ) players need it from time to time. Add to this Robbo looks injured Broughy needs to get his head sorted to concencentrate on playing instead of pressing the self destruct button and getting involved in stupid arguments he can't win. Last but not least at the moment I don't think Wood brings a lot to the show, I don't think he's good enough for a place be it in the team or on the bench, but that's just my opinion. I think it's fairly easy to see why we're struggling this season, the recent 5 win streak was mainly (Cas apart) against poor opposition who to be honest if we listen to the "experts" we should have buried, but we didn't and the victories didn't even paper over the cracks, we looked poor for large parts of all those games, our pack struggled our defence stuttered and our attack blew hot and cold throughout, don't think them 5 wins fooled too many people. Play like we have been doing against Wigan on Thurs and then at Lids the following week and we could well be on the wrong end of 2 cricket scores.

I don't think anyone would complain but coaches tend to give younger players with little super league experience little game time. Let them adjust gradually. Plus Broughton is one of our strongest players pound for pound.. He has unbelievable speed and he didn't do anything wrong when he got injured.
McGillvary hadn't done anything wrong.. And Murphy is as safe as houses too.
Our options are superb. If Blackmore doesn't get more game time this season after the saints showing I'll he disappointed but for Wigan.. I'd play him if Broughton and McGillvary aren't fit enough to play.

I certainly wouldn't argue with this team. Interesting choice of Jack Miller too.
