Fleary probably just missed out for me.

I was a big Neil Harmon fan so he'd probably make it into my top 5 list. It's good looking back at some of the players picked who have played for us through the good and bad times. I'd forgotten some of the players mentioned in Meast and Daz's post as I started watching Fartown at a similar time to them and have never even heard of some of the players on Golcar and Scorpio's selections.

looking through scorpio's forgot about david jeanes and niel fox think he was player/coach kenny loxton one of the best round the ankle tacklers

Yes Neil Fox was player coach, and Malcolm Branch scored quite a few tries off his amazing passes, they seemed to hold in flight until Branch ran on to them at pace, and he took some stopping out wide.
It is a pity we did not have Foxy earlier in his career.

David Jeanes & Steve Lyons were a fearsome 2nd row! They;d easily get into today's team even though they were at the end of their careers.

Fleary played for one saeson and was ok but well past his best. I would say Jim Gannon was more effective for us than Fleary during the early years back in super league.
