| I am aware that football is dominant in sky fixtures, but this season's playoff dates means I will miss all the games as I live in west London and can't take Fridays. It is shocking and impacts on real fans who happen to live away from he north.

| Thats the problem, Sky dont care about the people who actually go to the games, its how many people buy their dishes or go to Clubs/pubs to watch their products, and while they are pumping money into the game no-one will say anything to them.
The fact that tomorrow is the biggest game of the season and its stuck away on a Thursday night meaning lots of people can't actually be there to see it is a damn shame.
3 Thursday night games in a row have been harsh on us but that's the way it is.

| rubbish! biggest game in our recent history on a chuffing Thursday night!
lots of people cant get time off work who work nights/shifts, lots of people reluctant to travel especially with kids and elders in tow, lots of people reluctant to travel with work the next day,if we win, not many people will be able to celebrate properly because of work next day.... games of this magnitude should have a prime weekend slot!
only positive for me is that I can enjoy a curry and a pint for £5.89 in wetherspoons

| I think it just goes to prove that the arguement that the LLS means nothing and all that anybody is interested in are the playoffs is totally invalid.
Sky obviously don't care about them and neither do the public going by the attendances.
You may as well have the top two teams go straight to Old Trafford

The 'prime time weekend slot' isn't available as there will be WBA v Wigan in the Boreship league on or something equally mundane that is considered way more important than a Semi-final.

Yet their brave bid came to a stunning end when Cudjoe stepped out of the defensive line to intercept a pass and then run away for a 90-metre effort. (Times 2)

| I'm totally bolloxed for tomorrow, can't get the time off but I've told them straight that next Saturday week I'm off --like it or lump it.

| I personally much prefer a weekend fixture and would much rather tonight's game be played tomorrow or Saturday.
However, I think we can have little grounds for complaint. We all want the game to grow, expand, improve and get better coverage. These changes are part and parcel of that.
Look at the football for example. My Mrs' dad is a Liverppol season ticket holder and goes to all the away games he can. He could quite easily have to go to Newcastle on a Tuesday night in the league cup and then down to Norwich on the Saturday in the league.
Teams in European competitions often sell out their away allocations in Turkey or wherever for a midwkeek away fixture.
They don't seem to be bothered by this, if anything they seem to embrace it and look forward to the games as much as a home game at 3pm on a Saturday.
Whether it will result in improved media exposure and TV audiences is yet to be seen. But if it does, then fantastic.
It is unfortunate for people who can't make it, but at the end of the day, some people work weekends so a Saturday/Sunday fixture is no good for them either.
At least in SL we're only looking at around an hour or so commute to most away games!

| It's pointless comparing to football.
Would the fa cup semi finals be held on a Thursday night I wonder?
No chance!!!
Midweek games in football are already part of the fixture lists so people know exactly where they are at the start of the season and can arrange shifts etc in advance. How many does each football club have moved for sky? Not the half a dozen a SL team can have in a season!
Anybody can see this doesn't expand and improve our game- sides are losing ST holders as a result of changes by sky - and if the money isn't coming in the product will be worse. The giants have resorted to offering money off the next years ticket for any game sky moves if people don't attend.

| l book my flights well in advance, obviously to save money, l leave Lagos at 4.55am tomorrow, ok l,m back for the final as well, but if we loose tonight a wasted trip, and expenses. (l can just imagine what tomorrow will be like if we loose, flying back for 10 days, feeling miserable, thank you Sky)

With reference to your first point, up until very, very recently, didn't the Champions League Final be played on a Wednesday night? The biggest indivdual club game in football? Add to that the recent changes in FA cup kick of time (admittedly not the day).
Further to this, Sky (and now presumably BT) do change EPL games days and times to fit their schedule, yes. When Sky announced their first set of TV fixtures, they only ran to November (if memory serves). I would imagine teams like Man Utd and Chelsea etc as well as teams involved in the basement battle have a fair few rescheduled as the season develops. So really, football is a fair comparison in this discussion I think.
The Thursday night games only started this year, so we cant say how this impacts on ST sales. Sky's responsiblity is to gain TV viewers, clubs are responsible for gaining ST season ticket holders. The two shouldn't be confused.
Huddersfield have also made good offers on tickets in their continued efforts to boost crowds. I think these offers and your success this year, especially if sustained in the future, will see these attendences at your place grow, which is superb!
As I say, I'm not "for" Thursday games, but certainly not against. I just think its in our DNA as RL fans to dislike anything that changes!

| i think the difference between RL fans and football for thursday night games is football fans turn up whenever they are told to, where as RL fans only turn up when they feel like it tbh. For me thursday nights are a nightmare been a shift worker, so far ive had to beg to come in early for one match, swop with my mate for another and book a days holiday for today not easy at all, but worth it , not to mention monday night matches, not a fan of these much prefer weekend games.
