| Great start to the season and another battling performance on sunday. Nothing but praise for the team and coaching staff so far.
I think to kick on we need tai one of our big signings fit and firing and it is poor for a professional to not turn up fit.
I also feel if we can, we need another half back to cover brough and robinson, if possible with a decent kicking game. I know we wont get anyone brilliant at this stage but good will do, then we can give them a rest when needed only my opinion but it will hurt us later on if we dont.
Finally we could really do with a 10k plus crowd on sun to help the clubs off field efforts. Good day forecast, top of the league, Bulls should bring around 2k we need to find 2000 more hope we can do it as it will really help us goiing forward.

| To be fair, as a professional Ta'ai should have been in better shape than he is, personal trainer or not, getting paid 80k a year it is his duty to be fit and ready for the season, the late arrival was unfortunate, but he's delaying his impact even more by not even being ready when he has arrived!

| I am not sure where this fitness thing is coming from.
He came over and played in the first game he did not look unfit purely a question of match fit which is different. You can not get match fit without playing matches.
Even Mullally who played at Wakey said in the examiner that he wants to play more to stay match fit as he has not played since the Widnes game. If Mullally who is full time training how the hell can you knock Ta ai.
The only info i have seen is that he is training to get used to the teams plays and what his role will be.
There are plenty of things to think about without inventing things to moan about.

Don't take your bat and ball home.
I seem to remember saying Robbo hadn't a kicking game and was suddenly the devil incarnate.
I stiil think he hasn't a kicking game but that's another story.

| Agreed match fit is a different thing, but Anderson made a point of saying he came over looking as plump as a Christmas turkey, doesnt sound like hes in that good shape. Plus against London he played about 20 minutes and had about 6 runs, Feka used to do that much for Wigan/Salford, would you say he is as match fit as the rest of our team?
I for one cant wait to see a fighting fit Ta'ai, i think he is going to be a massive addition to the team and his aggression, size and ability to bust a tackle will be a great asset for us. But going back to the original post, as a professional player he should have been up to the expected standard before he came, especially so following the Visa problems.

Quote: HuddsRL5 "Everyone saw what a big physical specimen that he is and we are all looking forward to seeing what a fully fit Ukuma can do. To say he had just two training sessions with the rest of the boys, he did fine."

Quote: HuddsRL5 "You can tell he’s been training on his own and had periods of inactivity, which means there’s one or two little things we need to work on.
But he’s a physical specimen and, with just a bit of fine-tuning, he’ll certainly be okay.
'"
They are quotes from Anderson. Nothing suggests he came over very unfit but needed to fine tune. If there are quotes or comments elsewhere that he was as plump as an xmas turkey then let us know. If that is the case i would be disappointed and may even have to apologise to halifaxgiant

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war": |

The "christmas turkey" quote comes, I believe, from Eorl's column in the Examiner a couple of Saturdays ago.
The exact quote was "big as a christmas turkey" and was a reference to his physical size. Nowhere in the column was it implied that he was unfit or overweight. Simply that he was physically big. I've tried to find it online but there appears to be a big gap in the Examiner site and the only column from this years "Highs and Lows" feature is Luke's column from this week
