Murphy instead of George! Not too happy with that - Wigan have some very quick players- in that squad we have very little pace (yes i know we have some quick forwards but could they catch tomkins/charnley on the break) and I can see a few breakaway tries.

Murphy for George no worries with that.I cannot see the point of making loads of positional changes.
Last sub could be any from Cording/Mullally/Fairbank.

When does any side score long range tries these days except from interceptions?

murphy in for george on the wing, rock solid is murphy... george maybe injured..he does seem to miss his fair few through injuries, or maybe to negate the threat of charnley as murphy is solid in defence.

Murphy for george as murphy is more defensive and solid in defence. Fairbank is a better defender than cording too

I would leave cording out to be honest, don't think he brings anything to the table save being a reasonable squad player. Not for the big games in my view. Would be tempted to really beef up for this game and replace cording with Mullally.

fairbank to come in for cording?Yes if Our forwards perform as they did against saints not against London need to prevent the ball going out wide.

'"

Luke played 25 games for us last season so I'm not quite sure where you've got the idea he misses a fair few.

And it's all very well murphy bring able to tackle- but he's got to catch him first! It's all very well having wingers that are defensively strong - but against a side like Wigan we won't be scoring in the centre of the park as easily as against London. It feels a bit like we are on the defensive if you'll pardon the pun and are worried about them scoring rather than us trying to.
The only player with any speed out wide will be leroy and he will probably be covering Richards as leroy can also leap like a salmon

Cording is not a good defender??? Must have imagined his trysaver on Sunday. Only two rounds in but a contender for tackle of the season.

I would be tempted to bring in Mullally for tactical reasons, his bulk could be useful against Wigan, there will be a mighty forward battle. Whom for? Depends how fit Ta`ai is. Could be for Cording, but no reflection on Jamie who has done all asked of him.

I am also ok with Murphy for George, Wigan kick to corners a lot.

Finally and perhaps famous last words....... don't think Pat Richards is all he is cracked up to be, very decent player with a strength attacking kicks to the corner and a damn fine goalkicker, but if he played for say Huddersfied rather than Wigan he would be regarded as a good not brilliant player.

Jerry is strong and fairly quick but he's no speed demon. charnley would leave him behind.

If Taai plays I hope he is fitter than last week or could be a liability. I would prefer to see Mullally play after completing a full pre season.
Can't wait to see Fielden step up against his old team if he stays fit he is going to be such a great signing for us.
Sorry to say it, but can't help wishing LOD was here for these big games

Seems to me Murphy is being seen as defensive only but he does run hard with the ball and often looks like making the break. Agree Charnley is quick but you're assuming he's in the clear when he gets the ball - if we do the job properly he'll have Murphy in his face and Murphy is strong. Don't really want to see Ukuma playing he didn't look fit to me and could well be a major weak link on Saturday, but another month down the line could be a different story. Seen suggested team showing Leroy on wing - hope we don't fall in to NB's habit of changing multiple positions to cover one, leave Leroy in the centre and change one for one. Tough one this week and am sure we can rise to it but let's not have doom and gloom if we don't get the result!!
