| .... No I'm not on about the players, despite rumours they are all getting on nicely thanks very much.
I'm talking about the mood with the fans. I've been watching the giants for a long time and I can't remember the mood with the fans being so low. Even 16 straight losses and money troubled with a crumbling fartown doesn't seem to match it- we were down but determined and full of hope.
Even when things were messed up by sharp- the mood was more of frustration than misery.
Even though I sense this mood -it appears the players and staff do not.

| True jools, i think we are all down because we all know what this group of players are capable of, they haven't become bad players overnight, there is clearly something wrong with the attitude of the players who have just stopped doing the things they were doing 12 weeks ago.
As for in the past we knew the only was up and most of us had only known bad times, the problem now is that we are capable of being one of the best and i think a lot of fans expectations are now so high that just being in the higher reaches of SL isn't good enough and they almost demand silverware, i guess your mood about the situation depends on your expectations to a degree

| Robbo said last night that, as a group of people, they are happy and friends.
As a group of players they are as frustrated as everyone else.
He repeatedly said that no-one could put their finger on what is wrong. He was adamant that it is mental, it's in their heads, for whatever reason.
He asked "Don't you think that if we knew what was wrong, we'd put it right? Do you think we like losing? Do yo think we're doing it on purpose?".

That may be what he's saying to the fans but ive been told that they spent most of Sundays game arguing amongst themselves....thats come from a wire player who was on the pitch with them....and it certainly looked like that from where I was stood too.

I've seen em arguing on the pitch and swearing at each other too, doesn't exactly look 'friendly' but then again the players are going to say everything is rosy to keep whatever is the issue in house.

| OK, let's believe anything apart from what comes from the horses mouth, so to speak.
Robbo's a passionate guy and I'm sure everyone at the meeting believed what he was saying. Only those who weren't there don't.
Rumours rule, OK?

| Not saying i dont believe him in fact Robbo is probably one of the ones i'm more likely to believe but if something is wrong in camp and something has gone on i'm pretty sure that everyone has got together and said something along the lines of ' what happens in here stays in here and if anyone asks make out everything is rosy' - cant see anyone coming out and saying 'well so and so did this and so and so said that which caused A,B,C....'
The only people who know IF and what anything is wrong are the people involved, we will probably never know anything until someone's autobiography in years to come

| Why is it that because players argue on the pitch that it is automatically assumed it's because they don't get on?
My Grandparents fought like cats and dogs but spent 60 odd years married to each other and loved each other dearly.
Maybe they argue cos they know they're playing crap and are frustrated about it.
At least it shows a bit of passion and desire to win. Would people prefer them to hug each other and offer hand moisturising tips as they line up behind the goal after conceding a try?
