| Grix plus Moore or Lee will take up the halves, allowing Robinson to also rotate
This is only if Brough doesn't play

If no Brough then Grix to first receiver for mine to take on the kicking duties.Disrupts things a bit though must be said.Lee had a solid game as run on hooker,Robbo is dangerous out of dummy half later on.
Decent kicking game has Grixy, thing is though he doesn't do spiral bombs to my recollection, and Broughy was 8 from 8 (think it was) on the goalkicking front last week.
Brough out would be a big loss, but that goes without saying.

He was average against a very pedestrian team. Not having a go at you jools, but Grix was O.K., nothing more imo. Kicking out on the full etc. He just isn't up to scratch in my view. It took an error strewn game against a poor team for him to put in a just average performance & therefore get noticed.
He has really been found wanting the last season & a half now. I'm not trolling, I know there are dedicated fans here who rate the lad. But I honestly don't. Not scapegoating, just saying.

| Etc???? What is the etc?? The try saving tackle? The try's he set up? Brough has kicked out on the full on more than one occasion in recent weeks- is he average too? That kick was the only error he made.
And I didn't say he was world class - I said he'd had a much better game than recently. But I know that won't be good enough to stop him being the most recent player to get stick.

| i agre with jools. Grixy hardly put a foot wrong today. A couple of good breaks a great try saving tackle in the second half and his kicking was pretty good.
The only problem was that he made one obvious mistake and people get on his back.
There were loads of mistakes made by other players.
The knock on when jerry got the ball 10 mins from the end of the first half was terrible. As they scored on that set and got back into the game. A bit of composure then and we could have kept them scoreless until Leroy came back on.
And as for Eorl who could not make the line from 10 metres out with a clear run in was shocking ( although i suppose he had just gone 50 metres and dummied Patten gives him a positive)
I cannot wait to see the stats for the game i bet Eorl made over 200 metres in carries.
A narow win against a poor Salford side but the confidence will be building. Anderson with a 50% success rate. A game where the ref did us no favours. Their first try must have been 2 yards forwrd.
Hard work but a good win.

| Grix made 1 mistake last night. What an awful player he is. Forget the tackles he made. Forget how many tries come off his passing [including last week] - he has both a short, inside pass and a long cut-out pass.
Yes, he does sometimes get caught in possession when running across the field. How many times would Cunningham have got caught if he hadn't have had his forwards running up wanting a pass? Perhaps if our forwards did the same Grix would have someone to pass to?
After a poor spell, he had an excellent game last week and a very good one last night.
And in closing, how on earth people [person?] can say he wasn't u to it [ilast[/i season is beyond me. People see what they want to see, not what is actually happening [just like the 4 blokes behind us last night - if you think I'm blinkered about Grix, you should have heard their commentary on the match!].
