| Roby's had a field day !!!! Every other play the ball we have a man on the floor so Roby has a free ten metres or we give away a penalty !!!
Every time they kick it in the air we stand and watch them catch it !!!!
We can see them playing close around the ruck but leave them a massive gap to run into !!!
I expected organisation at least from PA and a tightening up of our obvious weak areas !!!
It was a training game for Saints and yet another shocker from us !!!

| No it wasnt
Saints are a world class team, and can open anyone up any time - Roby is one of the very best hookers in the game and can do that to anyone
We got sweet FA from the ref tonight, absolutely nothing but thats only a factor (so I am not saying we lost cos of the ref, but it seems challenging Saints for a high ball is a penalisable offence)
I think at times out defence was the best its been in months, we held Saints out for 11 tackles on our line at one point when before its taken one to get through us.
Our offence isnt clicking and thats still Browns legacy - 4 hookers? But who do we swap them with?
Mason, Chan were also both superb - Lawrence had a good game
Ferres was solid
But we have too many hookers, simple as that. We want 2 on the squad, tops. If nothing else, bump up the academy lads

| All the playing in the wrong positions earlier in the season is till coming in to roost.
No confidence.
mason and Moore still giving away penalties every game.
Positives for me Lawrence much better in the backs. Chan very good. Grix better.
negatives the two ms above and the over paid uninterested Faalongo.
The rest Brough and Eorl aside average at best

Yup can Moore as I said this morning but start working in the ruck area !!! too many lazy players thought Eden did ok, Ferres for a first game but Moore and Fa'alago over paid for the lack of effort they put in and Gilmour was poor again !!!
We were bossed by the most average Saints side for years we made them look good and an 11-2 penalty count didn't help but it's what you get when you play on the back foot !!!

| Could someone please teach Grix how to tackle. I'm sick of seeing him either run past the player or swing off them! The amount of tries he has cost us because he can tackle must be huge!

More than one player! Grix's running was okay!

| Chan, Leroy, Bruno, Eorl, Mason were all very good tonight.
Ferres went well for a first go, much better than I thought he would tbh.
Larne is clearly playing with a serious arm/hand injury but still ran straight & hard & tried his best.
Robbo tried but was in the wrong position too often.
Luke George had a mixed night. The missed tackle for the first try was awful. But he pulled himself around later in the game, credit for that.
However.....Moore was pigging rubbish again. The whole go forward of the pack is severly compromised when he's on. He leaves gaps you could drive a lorry through & once again gave a stupid unnecessary penalty away. And he is not fit! He would puff like Thomas the tank engine if he had to run a bath, let alone 10 meters. Waste of time.
Grix....woeful..yet again. The missed tackles for the Meli & Roby tries were an absolute disgrace for a professional footballer. Couldn't tackle a fish & chip supper after a night out. Hopeless.
Fuey, Gilmour & Doof....what's the point? May as well play with 14 men & have done with it.
We have about half a team that want to play...the others just don't want to know.
We were stuffed by an average Saints side. There's trouble ahead if this doesn't get sorted for the Bulls game imo.
Eden improved tonight.

| Mason scored a try but cost the Giants at least 3 with errors or penalties in the previous set. I wouldn't say he had a great game at all.

| Moore always does give away penalties. But when he was with us he was very good in defence and would be feisty in attack. My guess is that with Brown leaving, he won't want to be at Hudds anymore. He went over there because Brown was there.

| Effort was loads better tonight and we were hammered by the skinny guy in yellow, even the Saints fans on the way out said they couldn't believe some of the calls they got !
Eden, Leroy, Bruno and Eorl were the pick for me ......Mase was a mixed bag as i thought the team improved when he went off maybe through lack of penalties but he did ok when he was on !
That wasn't too bad a performance and hopefully the players will gain a bit of their confidence back from that !
oh and that its one nice stadium too !

| Some seriously odd calls indeed did go in our favour but baffling and inconsistent decisions are par for the course in every game these days and hardly worthy of a mention.
I know you guys have been going through the horrors lately but I was still a little surprised by just how poor you were. Saints were no great shakes by any means but we could have easily put 70+ on you if we'd just played with [isome[/i intensity after the game was wrapped up on 30 minutes. Brough's kicking (depressingly a class apart from what we have available in that department right now) and Saints howlers apart you hardly threatened a largely sleepwalking Saints team at all which was terribly disappointing. It might be a long old rest of the season...
And as for Gilmour... if that's the way he's been playing for the rest of the season then perhaps retirement might be an idea.

At least 2 of the pens that Mason conceded were very harsh calls indeed. Ref was poor imo but in no way was he responsible for the loss.
