has there been any more news/rumours regarding keiron purtill going back to the giants next year to work with Paul Anderson? It was mentioned immediately when he was sacked by Saints in April

Gonna be so so unpopular but if we cannot get a world class 6 which is what we desperately need, I would give Briers a contract, he is OOC at season end and has the mentality, guile and kicking game, if not the speed anymore that we need to compliment Broughy.
Would be a better option at 6 than owt we got IMO and if we can't get Benji Marshall, Brett Finch or Jonathan Thurston ;-0) then Briers would do a good job at 6 for us.
