| Thought this might be the case when we looked at the recruitment. Seems some posters were right about LOD moving up to prop.
We will be watching a more exciting Giants team next year i think

| Mobile, that's an interesting word, first of all the pack have to take us forward before they go 'mobile'
Much depends on how quick Doof & LOD adapt to being props before the rest can go mobile.

| 'The mobile pack' can work look what NSW played 2 origin games with one prop and won. Yea I know they lost one too but that Qld team was miles better than anything we will play. Lod playing the gallen role would work really well. How can we criticise something that hasn't failed.

| There's another important job the pack does and that's defend down the middle. I don't mind mobile as long as they don't go AWOL.

| So, what do you reckon - more mobile / less out and out props = better defence or not?

| Who knows
The real key is not so much the props, or 3/4s or the halfbacks but the enthusiasm. Of all the games we lost the most depressing thing was how out enthused we were in them.
If they can turn up week in and week out looking to win the game by effort alone, then everything else will fall into place.
Defenders will have backup in the tackle, attackers will have supporting runners to confuse the defence and our enthusiasm in the tackle will win us penalties.
It's not a difficult thing is it?

And as our big pack got trampled by Bradford last season, how well will our smaller pack do this season. Bigger packs will dominate in wet weather rugby ( somewhere we struggled with last season) whilst a smaller more mobile pack will be great in dry weather. We cannot aford to get off to a bad start and lose some of the new fans whilst we wait for the weather to get better and the big beasts ( LOD and Faalogo) to come back
ATEOTD it will turn out to be a masterstroke, an unmitigated disaster or somewhere in the middle.
I have to say though that at the minute i feel less confident than i have in any of the last 3 pre seasons, I hope i am wrong
Although i am happy with the players we have got and excited about Chan, Murphy, George and Eden i would be happier if we had one more good big rough tough prop to give us extra options and perssonnel to adapt the team to different matches and conditions.

| Actually, we need wet weather training. They seemed to hate playing in the rain last season
