It is impossible to rate Jamie Simpson. A late arrival, no clear position and then big injury problems.

Had a good game at Salford and did well at headingley. Cannot say much else.

A couple of plus points from what I can remember of him,he always wanted to get up and play the ball quick,fought (not literally) to get the tacklers to release him.Plus he looked to have some pace in the legs,but never really got much of an opportunity to have a gallop over a decent distance.

Made a few basic errors in his opening few games,which didn't help his cause.

If he stays at the club and stays fit,he might prove to be an asset.

Haven't seen enough of him to give a fair appraisal. If he's staying, hopefully a good pre season will see him put some good performances in next year.

Saw some neat things from him at Salford and especially at Leeds , but think he was blooded too early and obviously not match fit.
Would seem like a waste of cash , and time and effort , if he now leaves as rumoured.

Btw - liked the way sky used his Try against Wigan in their trailers of us....

I don't think we have seen much of what Simpson is capable of. He was a bit quiet in the first few games and made one or two errors- I agree with the previous poster that it looked as if he wasn't ready- he looked great at Leeds and no doubt helped us win that game. He also was one of the few players who looked good against Salford and seemed to be all over the pitch. I feel it would be unfair to score him

He's probably been a bit hard done to on the TV. His telly games he has looked pretty poor TBH. It's only fair to give him a full pre-season but I think he needs to improve quite a bit based on what I've seen.

Not really had chance to impress so far...if he stays and gets settled in we may see why NB brought him over here.
