| easter again,a game against a team at the bottom and we get another trouncing.as at salford last year we looked totally knackered, clueless, effortless, complacent, and truly woeful.
what is the answer to these easter games? can it simply be complacency or is it something else, could the hold ups on the M56 have had anything to do with it? could it have something to do with rumours of a team bonding session only a couple of days before the game, similar rumours were off the same ilk at salford.
yet again,we have a good following and yet again the players let us down, people are going to stop travelling to games at easter if we have to put up with this every year.
not good enough fartown,we dont expect to win every game and certainly dont expect us to run up a cricket score against the bottom clubs, but i do want to see effort, today,as last year there didn't seem to be much effort to do the basic things right and crusaders rightly spanked our backsides.
anyone feel the same?

| God knows what it is but there was certainly a huge lack of effort today...take nothing away form Cru who played very well and made us look silly, but we jsut didnt look interested and the it could almost have been a re-run of last year.
Hopefully the players know they let us down and will want to right it against Salford on Tuesday

Totally agree mate, Cru were best team on the day, we for what ever reason just did not perform as well as we know we can. If the effort and application on the field had have been matched by that shown by the fans things could have been different. At one point it looked as if they wouldn't even be acknowledging the fans at the end of the game, Leroy had remind them we were still there, boy did they look embarrassed when walking towards the away end.

| I think it is time for the players to regroup. Maybe a team bonding excercise and a few drinks to help them get over the defeat. That should get them back into peak physical condition for a tough game on a hot day. Rehydration is very important in those types of conditions. At least 10 or 15 pints of liquid are necessary
Then again maybe a team bonding session with too much liquid refreshment celebrating a victory over Leeds might have been the cause of yesterdays debacle

| I also think part of our problem at Easter is the lack of a big, high intensity derby game.....everyone else in the league has their big game at Easter so are pumped up for it and know it will be a grueller.
No disrepect but we get stuck with Crusaders or Salford as our 'derby' game and therefore is obviously not as intensive as everyone else.If only Halifax were in SL
but that isn't an excuse...the players knew they had let us down yesterday, when they came over to us at the end i was shaking my head at them and gesturing to them to 'lift it' and they all shook their heads back at me and gave thumbs up so obviously realise we weren't happy.
Anyway thats our blip for the year.....Roll on Tuesday night !

i disagree goodie, the execution would have been better if they had put the effort in, alas, the soft tries we conceded could have been avoided if we had put the effort in to close down their men and close the gaping holes in our line.
yes our execution was poor but so was everything else we did or didnt do,to me that is down to effort.

also you always know its going to be a tough ask at cas and therefore know you have to roll your sleeves up, we failed to do that at cas,but failed in spectacular fashion at wrexham.
