7098.jpg [quote="G1":1x8x7ghm]Nice one Andy. You articulated a differing opinion given reasons and substance.
There's really no place for the likes of you on Substandard. [/quote:1x8x7ghm]:7098.jpg |

| As bad as we were, you were very, very good tonight. Defended impressively for 80 minutes, even with 11 men! Looked dangerous with the ball and had play makers who could break a side down. You weren't scared to throw the ball around at the right times and fully deserved to stuff us. If you're not there yet you are certainly on the road to being the real deal.
On another point, as good as Luke O'Donnell is he is easy to dislike. Always niggling, in every tackle holding as long as possible. The sort of player you love if he's in your side but hate if you're the opposition!

| I thought Leeds were their own worst enemies, and if you drop that much ball (how many times early in the tackle count after winning a penalty?!?!?), fall off that many tackles and concede that many silly penalties, it doesn't take a side as good as Huddersfield were tonight to beat you.
But that takes nothing away from a very impressive Huddersfield performance. The official party line is that we don't like the physical, direct, un-flashy, unpretentious brand of RL your lot play. But I'd be lying if I said that. It's aggressive, it's physical, it;s relatively uncomplicated but it's slick, disciplined and well executed. For me the big gap on the scoreboard reflected a gap in execution between the two sides. Both sides had good line speed, but Hudds missed far, far fewer tackles, both sides tried to move the ball, but Hudds passing and ball retention was far, far better, both sides tried to niggle at the tackle (yes, that's an art too) but Hudds did it far, far better (that really is a complement by the way).
All things considered, apart from the fact that Leeds were getting their a**es kicked, your mob were a joy to watch.
When you were chanting "can we play you every week" I did wonder whether that would be a bad idea. We might at least learn something. As the bloke I was talking to outside the ground said "we've been having it stuffed up us here for ages, so I'm going to enjoy this." Quite right too. Great performance, well done.

it was nice to see the Leeds fans applauding us and our team as they left at the end as well, makes a change from the usual goading although there was still one or two bitter ones.........its alway nice to hear positive words from the oppo fans.

| some of the bitterness from the whinos last night was cringeworthy stuff, but posts like these are good to see.
we enjoyed beating the bulls for the first time in SL,we enjoyed beating wigan for the first time in SL now these things are becoming regular habits for us, im sure most decent RL suporters would forgive a bit of giddiness from our lot,as has been said 52 years of stuffings and heartbreaks are finally over

Applauding a good performance is part of sport for me. Admittedly I'm more enthusiastic about applauding a good Leeds performance, but needs must and all that.... You'll always get a few bitter ones anywhere you go. Did anyone hear anybody trying to blame the ref? I didn't manage to find one. That would have been hilarious.
