| grown up with the giants as my first team, i like htfc and hope they do well n go up this season, however am sick of the animosity between town and giants fans mainly the fact they blame us for everything was talking to some the other day n aparently its our falt there striker broke his leg coz we damaged the pitch and its ken davy this ken davy that rar rar rar.o and aparently when dean gets his way the giants are out of the galfarm.
what chance is there of this happening?
would most giants fans prefer our own ground?
personally i would much rather have our own ground about 15000 capasaty i think the galfarm is just abit big.
wonderd what other people think on the subject.
o and as for the broken leg if hes worth 1.5 million he should learn to run right imo

| be happy with galpharm. even if you never fill it, at least you'll never be at threat of losing your SL license because of your stadium, and it's a stadium that can host top international matches.

| It's always been a load of tosh about the Rugby churning the pitch up. If you look at the pitch, which are the main areas which are damaged? Goal mouth and centre circle. Was the pitch in brilliant condition before the rugby started? Hell no, it was already looking poor.
We do the same if not less damage than the football imo.

| speaking to the groundsman recently and he states definately the football causes more problems for the pitch than the rugby, me personally i like the galpharm and dont think its too big, we need to work harder to fill it.

| It is definitely Town that spoil the pitch. I have taken particular notice for the last three years, at the end of our playing season around September / October time the pitch looks absolutely perfect. But on the other hand, come the start of our season about March there are quite a lot of bare patches about.
It is about time Town supporters shut up or move out themselves.

| Rugby is a summer sport. Grass grows in the summer. Vis-a-vis.
Giants play 13 league home games
Football play 23 league home games
Football is about kicking sods out of the grass, rugby is about lying on it for a few seconds

| Town will never have the stadium to themselves, our council are large shareholders and they would never allow it!! It's a community stadium. And for this to change sir Dean would have to stump up an awful lot! Theres bigger chance of Town relocating than the Giants!!
Some Town fans were even accusing the Giants for them conceeding a penalty last saturday as the pitch had been ruined the previous night by the Giants! They're short sighted bigots!!!

| I don't think DH would do that though. ATEOTD he's not daft and I don't think his aspirations are to get HTFC to the Premier League; the Championship will do for him. At least until football changes it's ways so it's not a money swallowing beast with two backs.

There is and it will cause real problems for the Giants. Currently the ground is owned 40% Kirklees 60% Ken Davy. Hoyle and Davy have agreed a deal that would take it back to the original ownership of 40% Kirklees, 40% Town and 20% Giants. However, Kirklees have been stalling over agreeing the transfer of shares for about 18 months now. If the deal doesn't happen Hoyle has stated that he'll build a new ground for Town. If that happened the Giants would be screwed. You'll all now come out with the usual Bulls fan jealous garbage but face facts a club that plays 13 home games a season (compared to Town's 23) in front of what an average of 7000/8000 (compared to Town's 14000ish) that already loses money can't carry on a) in a ground like that and b) not paying it's way. That ground is a millstone around Ken Davy and the Giant's neck and if Town were to leave all the hard work by the club and the fans to build one of the top teams in the country would be for nothing.
The way you lot talk about town is no different to the way a lot of town fans talk about you.
