with cudjoe as back up.... always thought brett hodgson was abit hit and miss for us with kicking duties (although came good towards the back end of last season).
now its brough taking over the duties.. anybody got any percentages for when he was at wakey??
what was hodgsons percentage for us last season?

I'm happy with this although i have to feel a bit for cudjoe
2 seasons ago he was bretts understudy and for all purposes looked like he was going to take the mantel in all respects
Brough comes in and 1/2 poor displays at the back (againts good teams though at a time when everyone was poor) and he finds himself being happy at being a centre

Would have him kicking in play as well more. This guy can destroy teams with the boot and is very good under pressure. He kicked one from touch line against quins after hooter had gone and we were all square. Gave us some good memories during in his time with us.

Another mistake that Macnamara made besides thinking he could coach was not tapping Brough up to play for England when he got the Job straight away. It showed in all 3 games that he's the missing link for us to compete. Our Kicking displays were pretty awful. No offence to Brown or Robbo they have played very well both domesically and internationally but Brough was needed in my opinion.

His kicking can be hit and miss at times, but when he's on song you'd back him from anywhere. The best scrum half in Super League by far.

Definitely, I noticed Wakey looked a lot flatter without him, hope they can get someone in.

If anything he was our only kicker by the end of the 2010 season!
The 5th tackle plays tended to rest on Brough's shoulders due to his genuine ability with the ball at his feet.
Hopefully a full pre-season and knowing his teammates better will help him become a huge influence over our side this year. |
