Led by the vastly-experienced Brad Drew and young half-back partner Gregg McNally, the Giants had the upper hand for most of the contest.
They led 18-10 at the break and then pushed on in the second half to move up to fifth in the table.
Full-back Elliot Hodgson and winger Greg Johnson led the tryscoring with two each, while centre Josh Griffin – back for the time being from his dual registration spell with Championship club Batley Bulldogs – added the other.
McNally chipped in with three goals and centre Greg Worthington landed the other two.
There was also success at Rovers for Huddersfield’s Under 16s Scholarship side, who secured a 40-22 triumph.
Joel Farrell – son of former Fartown and Leeds back-rower Anthony – crossed for two tries, with Ben Whitehead, Liam Goodaire, Levi Adams, Ryan Barnaby and Elliott Gorman scoring the others and Liam Coe landing six goals.
But there were defeats on the east coast for the Under 15s, who went down 28-6.
