| I have read each of the other boards specifically in response to the Wire fan asking for other clubs support and not really been surptised by some of the 'ball hawks' written about our style of play i.e quotes such as
'I dont like their style of play'
'It resembles WWE'
'They play spoiling tactics'
oh and who can forget Mick Potter 's coments after Fridays game - just showed what a clown he is and how much pressure he is under.
etc etc - I have always thought that some rugby league supporters live in the past and to be fair there are a few out there who have provided balanced arguements but just would every other teams fans be complaining if they were in our position right now??
I doubt it very much - as the Millwall song goes
No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us we dont care!!!

| I think the Wigan board has a quite condescending poster who wants us to lose because we don't 'grow our own' players and add nothing to SL.
He must of missed Friday night's game, emusion's over players like Eorl, Leroy, Bruno and totally forgot about where RL's birthplace was.
Talk about living in the past

| Yes I read that also - talk about lame brain!!. Wigan in the past have got rid of their youngsters to make way for expensive imports etc - oh hang on a minute did'nt a certain Lee Mosop play for us this season???. Maybe they are learning their lesson this season who knows?
I am qute happy for Wigan to have a great youth policy and then we can benefit from them producing good players - lets not forget they get first refusal on them all before letting them leave or have I missed something here?.
Is it me?

| Exactly, and players like Tomkins are retained, the notion that we don't have any history (albeit not as established as Wigan, yet), or indeed we 'sponge' off other clubs academy's is a little lame.
KD had invested in this club and we now have an academy system that is starting to bring through real talent and long may it continue.
Gone are the days of having a monopoly over the top spots, salary caps atc. are here to bring a better competition for all, which stimulates interest across the board.

| I quite liked your style of play this year. It's what got you into the final after all. We'll see you in Wembley, and may the best team out of us win.

I'm just glad I'm back to work in the morning, so I can get my mind off next weekend, blinking nervous over here.

Me too, but I have nothing to do during the week. I'm gonna get worse all week.

| Nice to see the letters in the RLE from tools such as John Clark, from Stockton on Tees.
2nd worst discipline in the league? The survey said...
Huddersfield could spoil the spectacle and actually win, which would be a bad day for the purists? The survey said...
It's really annoying when opinionated know nothings see fit to write in ridiculous letters and they actually get printed. Defence is just as important a part of the game as attack, and when half wit no marks like John Clark finally realise this it will be a glorious, sunshiney day! I wont be holding my breath though.

| I saw that too Danril, the RLE is, in my opinion, becoming more evident in its Bias against the giants, not just in the letters it prints but also the way it edits reports and suchlike.
Also the copy I had today was so badly printed I am actually considering asking for my money back, half of it is unreadable (and the other half I almost wish was)

| I'd take it back, my copy is spot on for the printing even if the content leaves a nasty taste!
For £1.30 you want to be able to read it, even if some of it is rubbish!
To an extent I think there is some bias there but it's only certain reporters. There's some good stuff in there today in a couple of articles IMO. The letters page though, some times it drives me nuts.
Empty vessels make the most noise though, don't they. And, it seems, write garbage to the RLE. I suppose the only way to combat it is to write in as well.

| True enough, our match report just got me though. Why make sure there was space for Potter to whinge about the fact he was outcoached by Browns assistant - sorry, that we slowed the PTB down - and not give any comments from Baloo?
As for us slowing the PTB down, 50% of Saints drives were called as surrender tackles, the only ones slowing the game down were Saints. If they had run to break the tackle, it would have been a faster game.

| That's it, they surrender because they want to play the ball quickly but if they surrender then that allows us an extra second because we have won the collision. If they really want a quick PTB they need to win the collision and you don't do that by surrendering.

i know this isn't really relevant to the point you're making, but on this bit, can i just apologise in relation to said wire fan who's the biggest bandwidth/oxygen knocking about at the moment. It was cringeworthy when i saw he'd been spamming the boards, and does appear to be one of them people who really doesn't 'get' either partisan message boards, or the internet.
