| Quote: Warrington Wolf "Briers can play a game in a dinner suit without doubt. Brough is a bit more of a terrier player in the tackle. Both have fantastic kicking abilities and have been seen to torture teams into submission.
On a wider not we have others within the team who can also play with the boot and that's where taking this further in my Promrose n blue eyes I think we have a slight advantage in this department for Friday. However, the pack department concerns me slightly. It should be a cracker and one that should have been televised but for the football.'"
Spot on, and agree with the previous post about how they both should have been international regulars. A Briers/Brough HB combo with both in their prime would have been great to see!

| Comparing at peak is a no brainer even if i am a Wire, Briers head and shoulders, at this moment though Brough.
Brough has one of the scariest bombs i've seen, he gets some serious height on them for such a compact little guy.

| Briers was a great player, Brough IS a great player. Both great brains for the game and a few years ago I would love to have seen Briers at the Giants even if I can't stand the annoying little git. At the moment though we have Brough who's the best half back in SL.

| In his prime Briers had more tactical nous than Brough has, although he's never had Brough's physical attributes - pace especially.
Close call, but for sheer entertainment value I'd have Brough over Briers.

I accept that its all about opinions and I also accept that I may be biased and that I've not seen enough of Brough, "but for sheer entertainment value" it's got to be Briers

| Briers has done some comical stuff over the years. Just last year when saints were rushing to make a scrum as they where trailing with a few mins to go and he joins saints side of the scrum ushering the saints players...cheeky bugger!

| Brough had an off day today to be fair to him. Briers was better than him tonight and he was the water boy! Brough had a strop on and it spread around to others. Still, I'd have him as back up to Briers, Myler, Ratchford & O'Brien. So in short he will be 5th choice so in second thoughts, you can keep him

Brough is good, but I'd never describe him as 'great.' Way too inconsistent. Barely remember doing anything last night. Briers was more effective as our Waterboy (B B B Booby Booshay).
