| We stood off. We grabbed at the shoulders, arms out. We didn't get stuck in. We just didn't look interested at all.
I was laughing at the standard by the end, it was like they were trying to play badly.

| Quote ="Mable_Syrup"Simpson = woeful, set the tone with his 1st carry and getting put into touch. I've seen enough. What a waste of a valuable quota spot.
Jerry = 1st bad game of season, 3 tries past him. 1 great take of the high ball. Really need him to bounce back with a big effort on Tuesday
Leroy and Lawrence = just not with it today in either attack or defence
Brown and Brough = didn't look interested, possibly due to our pack being out played
Pack = didn't run with enough speed and didn't tackle with enough power
We can get by if 1or 2 people are off their game but I honestly felt not one player did themself any justice.'"
agree with simpson comments
bit harsh on jerry he ran really hard as usual unlike most of the team. not often you see other wingers go round him though and they did today on one occasion still no where near as bad as simpson
think brown had one of the worst games ive seen him play...maybe he should of been banned!

 true.
Jerry = but it was his 1st bad game of the season, he ran hard, but 50% of the game is defence. A winger going on the outside past you once you can forgive, twice you look sloppy, 3 times and you really need to work on it because this video will be watched by every coach we play

| Anyone care to say what Simpson did wrong apart from the first carry? I'm just curious, I didn't feel he had a bad game comparatively. Ran the ball well out of our own line as usual.

terrible journey there took around 2 hours, thought the delay was for the fans not for the team!!
shame for us fans who outnumbered the crusaders
at least its only 3 days we have to wait to get back to winning ways

You seriously think you outnumbered the Crusaders fans
The top tier of the stand you were in holds 2500 and you didn't even fill half of it. One of the better turnous from away fans but no where near 1500.

Thats just it he didn't run it out well, he gets smashed every time. There was a debate on here about hodgson under the high ball and someone said they always cross their fingers when a bomb went up for him. I'm the same with simpson when he has the ball in his hands, not just under the bomb, as he will either drop it, or go in to touch. we have british people in our squad who can do what he does, who are on a lot less money and dont take a quota spot.
He has done one memorable thing since being here - the catch v Leeds on our line.
get rid.

Pat Richards was a class act who had won a grand final, he was always going to come good. This guy played 8 games last season. Compared to fooey, o'donnell and doof who are all internationals, he is a strange signing, don't you agree?? All our quota spots should be class acts, just because we have a spare spot does not mean we have to fill it. As I said, I'm sure we have british players in our squad who could do the same or better job, be saving us money and not taking up a quota spot.

| He's not the profile we've been used to but NB is pretty astute.
If he doesn't measure up at the end of the year, regardless of his deal length, he'll do an Elford and go home.
I do think he needs more time though before he gets dumped on.

You have more patience than me He's here for 3 years so lets hope he comes good and can score the winner in the GF and CCF

| Well if you'd have seen the colour of my cheeks at half time you would be doubting my patience! At full time though I'd tried to sort myself out a bit but was still less than impressed. It's done now though and we're still joint top. Crusaders won today, deservedly, but I'd still rather be in our shoes. Time to go yet and it will hopefully reiterate to the boys that they can never take their eye off the ball.

| imo it is a bit harsh to single simpson out after that performance, he wasnt the one at fault for any of the trys imo, he wasnt outstanding but who was, i for one didnt think he was that bad, jerry and bruno and the 2 half backs were awful, not to mention the pack, did eorl play today wouldnt have noticed, lets give credit to the crusaders they were much more clinical than us today, but we dont become a bad team overnite, just like we wernt champions last week, for me we lost because our mental attitude wasnt right, very similar to the cas game, we thought all we had to do was turn up.

Are you saying that's over 1500 fans? Given the attendance was 3000 and the statement questioned was that the Hudds fans outnumbered the Crusaders fans. As I've said a very good turnout but let's not be delusional.

| That's not all the fans, is it. I said we had ~1,500 there and I'd say that's a pretty good estimate.
As for delusional, offer that advice to your coach.

On the radio coverage it estimated that the split between fans was 50 50.
If the atendance was 3000 then the estimates of Giant fans appear to be spot on.
We took over 1500 to Leeds for a night match.
Bearing in mind most fans were expecting us to give you a tonking today ( although you ruined that part of the plan) and with it being a more accessible time than at Headingley.
1500 does not seem to be unrealistic

| I don't think we outnumbered you but we had a damn good turn out. I am not going to mention home crowds of 3000 as we have been there. By the way why dont Crusaders have a sponsor? Not a dig just curious.
Anyways oh the joys of being a Huddersfield fan from heros to zero's well nearly!. Today was shocking. After a 2 hour plus journey in the heat and I did think about turning back a couple of times (maybe I should have) to witness that dross was very dissapointing.
So the win at Headingley has got us exactly nowhere because we lost to the team on the bottom of the table. Fair point the coach was delayed but still we were second best all day. I think following earlier comments that Simpson had one of his best games for us today - I have thought in previous weeks why have we wasted a quote spot on this bloke but to be fair he had a go today - maybe he is a slow starter dunno.
I dont think last Friday took too much out of them as lets be fair they have had nearly a week to recover so this leaves me thinking goodness only knows what we'll get served up on Tuesday night - a win of any kind will be welcome after todays dross.
I'd have them all in for an inquest tommorow. Top of the league we're having a laugh!

The number of times this happens, we build up a good away following, then shoot ourselves in the foot with a display like that. A team of grannies could have done better.
Wait for a poor crowd Tuesday as we have some very fickle fans.
I did not applaud the team off today, but I did applaud the Crusaders. But I will be there on Tuesday as per usual.

| awful just awful, but credit where its due crusaders took advantage and blew us away today! it baffles me how we seem to capitulate against the 'lesser teams' especially at easter time. i could see from the reactions from the players towards me at the end they knew they had let the club down ! . must mention the number of fans too ...easily over half the crowd from my view why were let down again !

In terms of potential they weren't even at 20% today. Absolutely shocking.
