Jake Mamo would be one, if not the, best signing this club has made for years. His level of ability is way above anything coming through our system. That's all I will say on the matter!

He's so good.... Yet Nathan brown (and the Newcastle Knights fans) happy to get shut....
So good that most folk had never heard of him until a couple of months ago when he was mentioned as a potential signing. So good that he's been playing in the 9s and Queensland cup rather than a first choice in a team that's been hammered every week.

All my friends from Australia have all said super league is made for him and he will score bags of tries and be a massive hit for us. There was a lot of expectation on him at Newcastle because he was branded the next big thing for them and it just quite hasn't worked out for one reason or another. However at still 22 could well be our full back for the next 10 years or he may end up back in the NRL if he impresses enough after a couple of seasons.

An attacking full back with serious pace is something ive craved for ages so if we get him I cannot wait to see him in the C & G. That said success is not a given and he may well not fit in and may go back home with his tail between his legs.

I don't like paying second rate Aussies large sums of money. That's what I'm unhappy about. We drove Connor away I'd love to know how much more we are paying this guy instead of one of own! We aren't paying him for his experience- he's only 22 and played similar no of games in the top flight as Connor!
Our best season was when we had a bunch of British guys on that field!

Don't remember what I thought at the time- Would I be happy if we signed him now? Probably not. The Giants have moved on.

Jools, I have seen his entire career and don't rate him at all. Funny how a player can create such differing opinions.
