| Didn't want to sound like a troll but I agree with the wood comments, dont know if its wood or lunt not being on but the go forward from hudds definitely slowed down during that period

| The loss of Fielden has weakened our bench significantly. Missed him and O'Donnell in this and the Wigan game I feel. Hopefully something we can rectify in the off-season.

| Aye, we certainly did miss another top prop in this big, big games. I'd like to see Larne go back to shorter minutes at higher intensity like the previous seasons. Tri, a couple of pounds off him so he gets that uber-zip back.
Wire also have a way of being tackled that allows them to get up quicker that we didn't/couldn't control. I can't put my finger on what it is they do exactly but it gets them up quicker and makes it harder for our markers to get onside. They were also cuter and won a few penalties by a bit of overegging, falling over a leg at the PTB etc.

| I feel a bit sorry for wood. When Lunt is on he's has eorl and kopczak with him. Usually when wood comes on he has Larne and Faiumu/ferguson/tai. They are all good players but very different and not out and out props if thats what you would call them compared to Eorl and Kopczak. Don't lay all the blame on wood. Wait until he has some better props around him before you judge him.

| Larne IMO hasn't adjusted yet to the new demands being asked of him in playing longer minutes. His main asset is his speed/size ratio but I think the extra size he's put on to try and give him more endurance has had more of a negative effect on him speedwise to what he's gained in endurance to this point. It may be better to let him trim back down a bit and recruit another big, big lad.

I agree with that, the rumour I heard last night is we have signed Kafusi from the Broncos, now if that's true we will have 3 out and out massive props to complement Larne's trimmed down size and increased speed.

| Sick of the garbage some Wire fans (yes, you Sally Cinnamon) are coming out with regarding the status of SL Champions. This is in no way knocking Huddersfield in winning the League Leaders Shield this season. You have been the most consistent team in the SL comp this season, end of story.
Does anyone really believe those Wire fans will still be proclaiming The Giants as the "true Champions" if Wire win the GF next week? Maybe Sally Cinnamon would like Tony Smith to chuck the SL trophy into the Mersey on Sunday morning (as it is only a minor piece of silverware...).

good point actually, lunt does work behind crabtree and kopczak and they lay a great foundation.

| Even though he has another year on his contract and wants to stay, it did look that way.

If Faiumu is staying, and I hope he is, he needs to be given a position and allowed to play in in consistantly whether it be hooker or loose forward - not moving between hooker, loose forward and prop.

For some of us who watched rugby league before the Superleague started, the true champions are the ones who perform the best throughout the season and end up top of the league at the end of it.
I am one of those supporters and, win or lose next week, I will still regard Huddersfield as the true champions this year.
Of course we wouldn't throw the SL trophy into the Mersey, should we win it next week. Winning any trophy is a good for fans and club, of course it is, but it still doesn't match being the winners of the league, minus the knock out rounds, in my mind. This is my opinion
