| Quote: Sheepridge Giant "Are you hearing owt with regards to potential new signings Joolsy ?'"
Nope- other than Mamo. Stone said he's spoken to him about coming and NB seems happy to let him go so I suspect now we are in SL next season that will be our most likely signing. We are behind with signings due to our recent predicament. There will be a SL team relegated but IMO There's slim pickings from either of KR and Salford, lots of players getting long in the tooth, injury prone or both. Adam walker may be worth a punt if he would come back- strong prop with a good offload, evalds possibly the only one at Salford but not needed if Mamo agrees to come. Either way we would be down the list of clubs of first choice for getting either.

Mamo looks like a dummy,as in doesn't belong in NRL,looking so poor at a loser club like Newcastle how bad does it get, that is not to say he would not cut it in SL.If he wears the C&G I would back him.Surely Stone knows a modern FB has to have hands, that's all they bang on about in NRL.

| I believe we would have a great chance of getting Evalds. I doubt Wigan/Wire/Hull would want him given their squads. He is a Huddersfield/Halifax lad and has bought his first house here in Huddersfield. He can play full back, wing and half back. Mamo is a fullback/wing. Mamo to replace Grix and Evalds to replace Connor I would be happy with.

He's one of them who excites you on attack, then later on you look at his defence and think to your self is it good enough.

| Quote: Durham Giant "We need to make a lot of changes to strengthen the team in a number of areas. This will require big changes based not just on the quality of the player but also what they cost on the cap.
LE says that wood , josh Johnson and Eorl are off if we can move them on. Connor will be going to Hull.
I would let Wardle go if it helps us get Mamo and Randell ( in stone we trust).
Grix is already going afaik with Wakey and fax being mentioned.
As for sacred cows we could consider moving on two players depending on what it would save on the salary cap and whether we could get as good as or better players in.
Brough. Always rumours around him and never know what to believe. But could replace with Soward. Just as good and might be cheaper ?
Jerry. Wigan apparently are desperate for him. Would be a good swap for Sio if he came cheaper.?
None of these are based solely on playing ability. We cannot afford to be sentimental about this But stone needs to rebuild. Too may underperforming players who are not mentally tough enough. Rebuilding will require skill and making some difficult decisions .
Maybe the slaughtering of sacred cows will be an indication of what we direction we are heading in.'"
you glad we won yesterday durham?

Broughy one more year at least, not sure of his contract situation, but his legs are showing no sign of slowing down.
They are saying a clear out,are we looking at the likes of Ellis,Ormsby. Be sorry to lose Eorl even now his battered body is one that can be relied on,- Jezzler going would be a huge huge blow.
Players are starting to look more confident under Stone,Murphy has run harder in last few games than all season,Hinchy looking better out of acting half.
Halves are so important, bulk Brierley up for 'D' will that slow him down.
It's gonna be interesting to say the least.'"
brough contracted till the end of 2018.

He reminds me a lot of Greg Eden but with more potential and would definitely be worth a punt.

Doesn't mean anything....If leigh make a offer of a 2/3 year deal and we want his wages freed up we could easily move him on.

| i will certainly be looking forward to seeing symonds / cudjoe / mcgillvary working together on the right hand side in 2017
other side needs sorting, murphy / gaskell / ???
forwards wise we need something like the LOD / fielden / mason days back when we didnt take no rubbish
sort the conditioning staff out too, if we stone gets it right we could have alot to look forward too
what we can do as fans now to help the club is buy season tickets

| Im not into cherry picking but everyone does it , so in my opinion, if salford do go down, the man we need to try and sign is Greg Brown!

| If there are to be big changes -and it's all rumour and speculation at the moment - they have to be made to strengthen the team but also eliminate the disharmony that has been much referred to on here. If we have a player (or players) who are disruptive we should be offloading them, whoever they are and build a proper team again. I get it that maybe Ken Davy has decided we have to cut costs and so signings have to be more low key as he must be aware the fan base is not going to grow anytime soon, but players with the right temperament and attitude who are fit and coached well can achieve a lot.
