it's nice little ground is the shay,i've always enjoyed my visits there and the ( finally) east stand is pretty good, i remember for years just staring at bits of concrete and girders.
surprised by how many giants fans who had never been before,didn't know the way around.i was asked a few times where the ground was at that was at top of hunger hill!
unfortunately i dont think i'll be attending the other 2 games but it was a nice change from the galpharm.

Pitch looked good - though shortened in goal at north end seemed odd line markings.
East stand good view - bit tight on leg room for us + 6 ft.
Pasties, hot dogs standard warm expensive crap but same as galpharm. Not sure why no plastic beer bottles allowed - would have been served quicker. Gates need to be opened sooner and more staff on food needed, but guess that will sorted for next time.
Overall a pleasant change, and would like to visiting there officially next year too !

Clearly you've had a very poor experience and given that as the context to you're complaint, then it's understandable you feel this way, however non of this was explained in your opening post on this thread, so to get the comments you've had from a few posters on here is understandable too.
I hope you put this complaint to the officials and see if something can be done about the standard of stewarding in your section of the stand. |

That was the idea on sunday but people entered the ground at different times and obviously the people who got in 1st took the middle seats where one bunch of singers where which meant there was no room for the rest of us so we had to sit in the wings.

They have been as well as being discussed with the Giants as well, ATEOTD we have a great product and it truely is a family game so lets sell it that way, the shay itself i have no issue with just he points made. Mind i did have a little giggle when a steward try to tell Ian McGreggor he could not sit in the Hospitality area, those that know Ian will know what his response was!!!  |

Some of the concrete blocks in the flooring have come loose, Calderdale Council have approved funds to repair it but no news on when the work will be carried out as of yet. |
